Courteney Cox hunkered down ahead of New York’s snowstorm with a close friend by her side.
Courteney Cox, 61, and her Shining Vale co-star Greg Kinnear had dinner at a wine bar in Tribeca on Friday night, as bad weather approached the East Coast.
New photos show Cox bundled up against the cold in a dark jacket.
The next day, 62-year-old Kinnear was spotted with a padded jacket and baseball cap, pulling a suitcase. He had spent the night at Cox’s home in Manhattan.
A spokesperson for Kinnear shared with the Daily Mail that the two have been close friends and colleagues for a long time.
Actor John Kinnear and British model Helen Labdon have been married since 1999. They are parents to three daughters: Lily, 23, Audrey, 20, and Kate, 17.
Courteney Cox has been with musician Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol since 2013. That same year, she finalized her divorce from actor David Arquette, with whom she shares a 21-year-old daughter, Coco.
Cox and McDaid were last pictured out together attending the US Open last September.
As for her bond with Kinnear, the two pals have a long history, both on and off screen.
Oh my gosh, you HAVE to know about Shining Vale! It’s where I first really fell for them as a couple. They played a married pair, and it was AMAZING. The show ran for two seasons, from 2022 to 2023, but sadly, it got canceled. I’m still heartbroken about it, honestly! It was just perfect seeing them together like that.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by stories about couples trying to reconnect, and this one’s a fun ride! It centers around Pat and Terry, a couple hitting a rough patch after some trust issues. They make a big decision to leave the hustle and bustle of New York City and move to an old, charming house in the countryside, hoping a change of scenery will help them rebuild their relationship. It’s a horror-comedy, so expect some laughs along with the drama!
In a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Greg Kinnear talked about how odd it felt to almost appear alongside Courteney Cox in an episode of Friends years ago.
In 2003, during the final season of the sitcom, Kinnear appeared in an episode called “The One with Ross’s Grant.” He played Dr. Benjamin Hobart, a Nobel Prize-winning paleontologist who used to date Ross’s girlfriend, Charlie Wheeler, played by Aisha Tyler.
Kinnear later shared that he never had a chance to film with Courteney Cox, who played Monica, during the 2003 season. Because his daughter was born, he had to record his scenes separately and couldn’t perform live with the rest of the cast.
Oh my gosh, it totally hit me recently! Apparently, ‘Shining Vale’ – can you believe it?! – was filmed on the exact same Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, where they filmed ‘Friends’! I mean, talk about a full-circle moment! It just… everything came flooding back, knowing all that history was right there.
Courteney Cox has said playing ‘Pat’ in Shining Vale is one of her most enjoyable roles, and she appreciates the show’s complex stories and emotional impact.
In 2022, she described the show as following a family attempting to rebuild their lives after a betrayal, and she didn’t think they’d succeed.
Kinnear also mentioned he was glad his kids hadn’t seen the show, acknowledging that his character, Terry, was quite flawed.
