The first trailer is out for season three of The Marlow Murder Club, a cozy mystery series from U and U&Drama, which premieres on Wednesday, March 18th. The new trailer hints at more intriguing murder cases for the amateur detective trio: retired archaeologist Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin from Doctor Who), and vicar’s wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan).
The three amateur detectives will now work more closely with Detective Inspector Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew), officially joining her investigations after becoming regular contributors last season.
The new season follows DI Tanika Malik’s crime-solving team – which includes the unique talents of retired archaeologist Judith Potts, dogwalker Suzie Harris, and vicar’s wife Becks Starling – as they investigate a series of high-profile murders. However, the amateur detectives quickly realize this case might be more personal than they expected.

The team faces a challenging time investigating two high-profile deaths in Marlow: the unexpectedly passing of the town’s popular Mayor, and the death of a famous chef during his own book launch, which was attended by many residents. The entire community will be closely following their work.
The story then moves to a remote, unsettling manor house where the team investigates a case deeply connected to Becks’ history. This case could jeopardize their positions as advisors, forcing Judith, Suzie, and Becks to rely on each other more than ever to stop the killers.
The popular crime show, now in its third season, is continuing its success with exciting new twists promised by creator Robert Thorogood (known for Death in Paradise). Actress Bond hinted at these ‘phenomenal’ developments in the upcoming storylines.
Bond praised all of the show’s scripts, calling the plot twists ‘phenomenal.’ He specifically highlighted the twists in the third storyline, ‘An Appetite for Murder,’ as being incredibly complex and challenging to predict. He’s confident viewers won’t be able to guess them.
Hugh Quarshie, Holli Dempsey, Phill Langhorne, and Tijan Sarr will all be back as regular cast members in the new series, playing Professor Darius Gifford, DC Alice Hackett, DC Brendan Perry, and DC Jason Kennedy, respectively.
This season features several new guest stars, including Peter Davison (known from Doctor Who), Jason Merrells (Waterloo Road), Jacqueline Boatswain (After the Flood), Tony Gardner, Ranjit Krishnamma, Harry Enfield, and Jason Forbes, among others.
The Marlow Murder Club season 3 will debut on Wednesday 18 March on U and U&Drama.
