This year, the hit show The Traitors will be parodied for Comic Relief‘s Red Nose Day. A special sketch, titled The Traitors: The Movie – The Sequel, will feature well-known celebrities impersonating contestants from the latest season and will air this Friday.
The cast includes Iain Stirling, known from Taskmaster, playing winning Traitor Stephen Libby, Alison Steadman from Gavin & Stacey as Fiona Hughes, a Secret Traitor who didn’t last long, and Vicky Pattison of Strictly Come Dancing as another winner, Rachel Duffy.
Anna Friel, known for Marcella, will play host Claudia Winkleman in the new series. Scott Mills from Radio 2 will portray James Baker, Amanda Redman (New Tricks) will be Amanda Collier, Fleur East (Strictly) will play Roxy Wilson, and Lewis Cope (Emmerdale) will be Jack Butler. Jessica Hynes (Patience) is also joining the cast as Harriet Tyce and is expected to cause some trouble.

Ruby Wax, the comedian, will be directing the project. Plus, several former contestants – including Rachel, Stephen, Fiona, Faraaz Noor, Ross Garshong, Jade Scott, and Judy Wilson – will make cameo appearances.
Stephen Mulhern joked that Iain Stirling is currently struggling to fit into a jumpsuit while playing Stephen himself in a Comic Relief sketch. He added that, as a lifelong viewer of Comic Relief, being involved this year is a dream come true.

Okay, this is amazing news! Alison Steadman – yes, the Alison Steadman – is going to be playing me, Fiona Hughes! Honestly, I couldn’t ask for anyone better. She’s such a brilliant actress, I’m already excited to see her take on the role. I’m absolutely buzzing about it! (Haha)
This year’s Red Nose Day will feature more than one sketch connected to Traitors. Former police detective Amanda will also star in a sketch called Amandaland, where Lucy Punch’s character meets several other people named Amanda.

The group includes Amanda Holden, a judge on Britain’s Got Talent; Amanda Lamb, known from A Place in the Sun; Amanda Barrie, a star of Coronation Street; and Amanda Byram, who appeared on Dancing with the Stars.
You can watch both sketches as part of Comic Relief: Funny for Money on Friday at 7pm. It will be shown on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and the BBC’s YouTube channel.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
