In March 2025, the game Clash Royale will undergo significant modifications, altering the way you play it. Clash Royale March 2025 update: All additions and changes explained
No more Chests, no more Timers

Indeed, it’s confirmed that the chest system has been phased out. Now, following each battle, you can look forward to Instant Rewards, also known as Lucky Drops. These instant drops will consist of Cards, Gold, and Crowns. This means no more fuss with managing slots or dealing with timers. Simply engage in a match, emerge victorious, and collect your hard-earned rewards instantly!
Season Shop and Banner Tokens Removed
It’s shocking news that The Season Shop is being taken down. This decision comes as a surprise since the TV Royale video suggested they wouldn’t make changes to accommodate more players. Many of us, including myself, disagree with this move, but it seems we must bid farewell.
Moving on, from this point, Pass Royale, Events, and Challenges will integrate their respective rewards into the main system. The intention is to streamline the process of earning rewards by eliminating additional steps. We’ll observe how these modifications unfold.

Additionally, both Banner Boxes and Banner Tokens will no longer be available for purchase. Instead, you’ll earn banners by completing Challenges and participating in Events. Any remaining Banner Tokens will be converted into gold.
The process initiates based on every 100 Banner Tokens, providing you with 2000 Gold. However, it’s essential to note that this conversion can only reach a maximum of 2000 Banner Tokens, which translates to 40,000 Gold.
Boss Bandit and Executioner Evo arrives
From what I’ve been anticipating based on those leaks, we’re finally getting a new champion in Boss Bandit and Executioner! As previously announced, the details remain largely the same.
The Boss Bandit will be a 6-Elixir card, marking her as the most expensive Champion so far. Similar to the Bandit, she can charge towards enemies and attack with her bat; however, what makes her unique is her special ability. Her “Getaway Grenade” allows her to deploy a smoke bomb, retreat safely, and then execute another dash.
With the latest upgrade, the Executioner wields an axe that inflicts additional harm on adjacent soldiers. To add to this, every axe throw propels enemies backwards, making it challenging for close-combat troops to charge at him aggressively.
Other Improvements and Updates
Significant enhancements are being implemented in the game, making it more efficient. The troop movement system, specifically pathfinding for troops, has been optimized to prevent troops from taking unintended routes or getting stuck on structures in the environment.
Additionally, you’ll notice a fresh “Resume Battle” button which allows for seamless transition into the next fight without requiring a trip back to the main menu. We’ve also revamped our Daily Streak incentives.
