Clash Royale Balance Changes March 2026 — All Buffs, Nerfs & Reworks

A big update for Clash Royale arrived in March, coinciding with the launch of Season 81. The update includes several new features, like an expanded Trophy Road, the comeback of Global Tournaments, and a brand new Album Event.

Plus, a new update with balance changes was released. These changes aim to make sure all cards, strategies, and decks are equally viable, preventing any from being too weak or too strong.

Supercell regularly adjusts the game each month to keep things fair and ensure new content doesn’t make any single card overwhelmingly powerful.

Okay, so the big balance patch dropped this month, and it’s pretty massive! They really came down hard on some cards, especially Heroes and those evolved cards. Honestly, a lot of them were just way too strong and dominating every game, so the nerfs were definitely needed. It feels like they’re trying to shake things up and make more builds viable.

The Hero Musketeer and Phoenix got stat boosts because they weren’t as strong recently. Barbarians and Spirit Empress also had some minor changes made to how they play.

  • Decoy HP decreased from 691 → 627
  • Ability cooldown increased from 20 seconds → 25 seconds
Hero Ice Golem
  • Free duration decreased from 2 seconds → 1.5 seconds
Hero Knight
  • Ability radius decreased from 7.5 tiles → 6.5 tiles
Hero Mega Minion
  • Ability damage decreased from 468 → 412
Electro Dragon Evolution
  • Chain damage decreased from 128 → 64
Executioner Evolution
  • Pushback decreased from 1.5 tiles → 1 tile
Royal Hogs Evolution
  • Landing damage decreased from 115 → 84
Dart Goblin
  • Sight range decreased from 7.5 tiles → 7 tiles
  • Affects the Dart Goblin Evolution too
Royal Ghost
  • Invisibility delay increased from 1.8 seconds → 2 seconds
  • Affects the Royal Ghost Evolution too
Royal Giant
  • Hit speed decreased from 1 hit every 1.7 seconds → 1 hit every 1.8 seconds
