LEGO recently released a new spaceship set inspired by the movie Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling.
Based on the popular novel, Project Hail Mary stars Ryan Gosling as Ryland Grace, a teacher who wakes up on a spaceship with complete amnesia. He has no memory of his identity, location, or how he ended up in space. Early screenings of the movie have been well-received by critics.

Although the film won’t be released in UK cinemas until March 20th, fans of LEGO and science fiction can now pre-order the movie’s featured spaceship.

Okay, so this new set is £99.99, and it’s part of the Icons range. But honestly, as a fan, it feels a little different – it’s got so much detail and actually does things! It’s not just something to put on a shelf and look at; it’s more like a Technic build with all the functions it has. I’m really impressed!
For example, turning the crank sends the crew module into orbit.
I love that it comes in classic black and white, but the lime green ring around the spaceship is what really gets my attention – it’s such a cool way to show the planet’s atmosphere!

The set also includes two minifigures, Ryland Grace (with a face that can change expression) and Rocky, his companion. The display stand has a specific spot for each minifigure.
LEGO has often released building sets based on popular movies, both recent and classic, like The Goonies, Jurassic World, and The Lord of the Rings.
You can now purchase the LEGO Icons Project Hail Mary spaceship building kit at both The LEGO Store and on Amazon.
