The March 2026 update for Clash Royale marks 10 years of the game and introduces a new event called the Album Event. This special, limited-time event lets you collect pieces (Snippets) to recreate famous moments (Scenes) from Clash Royale’s past, earning great rewards as you go.

There’s been a lot of talk about whether this event is worthwhile and if the rewards are good. Here’s a breakdown of how the Album Event actually works.

What is the Album Event in Clash Royale

The Album Event is a special, time-limited event in Clash Royale celebrating the game’s 10th anniversary. Rather than just earning rewards by winning battles, you’ll collect Snippets – fragments of classic Clash Royale artwork.

Every finished picture captures a special memory from the game over the last ten years. Your task is straightforward: gather all the Snippets, finish each Scene, and complete the whole Album.

How Snippets Work

Each album section, or Scene, contains 9 collectible pieces called Snippets. Once you collect all 9 Snippets from a Scene, you’ll complete the image and earn a reward. These Snippets come in different levels of rarity: Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

There are two types of Snippet rewards:

  • Random Snippet: Gives you one random Snippet, which could be new or a duplicate.
  • Unique Snippet: Guarantees a new Snippet you don’t already own as long as your Album isn’t complete.

Your goal is to find all the Snippets in every scene. A common question is whether finding the same Snippet multiple times is pointless – but don’t worry, duplicates aren’t a waste of time!

If you get a Snippet you already have, it helps fill up a progress bar towards earning a new, unique one. Rarer Snippets contribute more to this progress. When the progress bar is full, you’ll automatically receive a guaranteed Unique Snippet.

How to Earn Snippets

Getting Snippets is surprisingly simple. You earn them just by playing the game normally, which is great because you don’t have to focus on any one particular game type. You can also get up to four Snippets each day through daily rewards, so consistent play will help you progress.

You can also earn Snippets by participating in special events and Clan Voyages. Plus, they’re available for purchase in the Shop and through various limited-time deals.

Album Completion Rewards

Okay, so as I play through each Scene and grab all nine Snippets, I’ll get little rewards as I go. But honestly, what I’m really aiming for is completing the whole Album – that’s the big win!

Finish all the Scenes and you’ll get a fantastic reward: the Hero Magic Archer, a special emote just for them, and a unique Anniversary Tower Skin. It’s a really great set of prizes, particularly because you get a whole new Hero! This makes it one of the most rewarding limited-time events Clash Royale has ever offered.
