The April 2026 season of Clash of Clans continues with a new event: the Showstopper Challenge! It might seem difficult at first, but with a little understanding, it’s quite easy to get a perfect three-star rating. Here’s a straightforward strategy to help you succeed.
Introducing the Showstopper Challenge in Clash of Clans
The Showstopper Challenge introduces a new piece of Hero Equipment: the Dragon Duke’s Rocket Backpack. This equipment will be available with the next Metal Event and lets the Dragon Duke quickly move across the base when used.
Rewards will stay the same as before. After you successfully complete a three-star attack, you’ll receive resources, plus 400 XP, 25 Gems, and 1 Hero Potion.
How to beat the Showstopper Challenge in Clash of Clans
Okay, so here’s how I’ve been having success with this strategy. Basically, you want to lay down some spells first to support your attack, and then let the Dragon Duke lead the charge for your troops. I always start by making sure my Grand Warden is in Air Mode – it’s a game changer! Then, I drop a Baby Dragon right at the top of the base, close to the Eagle Artillery, to take it out quickly. It really helps clear the way!
After that, cast your Earthquake and Lightning spells on both sides of the battlefield. Place one Earthquake right under each Multi Target Inferno, and then follow up with three Lightning spells in the space between the Air Defense and Revenge Tower. Do the exact same thing on the opposite side.
Place the Dragon Duke on top of the Super Wizard Tower. With the Angry Jelly helping, it will swiftly defeat nearby enemies. Once it starts heading towards the Mortar, use its special ability to make it fly over the base and destroy the threatening defenses.
Once you’ve set up your defenses, start your attack! Place two Bat Spells on each Revenge Tower. To guide your troops, deploy the Barbarian King on the right, close to the Gold Mine. Then, send in your main force from the bottom: Ice Golem, Ice Hound, Dragons, Electro Dragon, Dragon Riders, Druid, Stone Slammer, Grand Warden, and Minion Prince.
Let your troops converge and attack the enemy base. After your Ice troops disable defenses with their freezing effect, use a Poison Spell on any troops defending the Clan Castle. Then, activate your Grand Warden’s ability to shield your army from incoming damage. While your troops advance, use a Super Minion to quickly eliminate the most threatening Air Defense, and deploy Baby Dragons on the left side to finish off any remaining buildings.
Be careful of the single-target Infernos located in the back. Let them focus on your tanks initially, then cast your Totem Spell in the middle to draw their fire and lessen the damage. Once things start to fall apart, deploy your Baby Dragons and use the Barbarian King’s special ability when necessary to finish the job.
You can also use a Minion to finish off any remaining Air Defenses. If necessary, use your Revive Spell on the Dragon Duke to ensure you get all three stars. That’s all it takes!
