Cher’s son Chaz Bono weds ‘love of my life’ Shara Blue Mathes in front of famous mom in Hollywood

After nearly a decade together, Cher’s son Chaz Bono and Shara Blue Mathes are now married. 

The couple got married on March 8th at the iconic Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, and the groom’s well-known mother was there to celebrate with them.

Chaz recently told People magazine about his wedding, calling Shara the ‘love of his life’ and saying she makes him feel whole.

He shared that being with her makes him feel whole, knowing she’s his constant partner, best friend, and soulmate. He believes they’ll face whatever life throws their way, always finding strength and security in each other, and that together, they’ve found their home.

Chaz and Shara started dating in January 2017. Chaz had begun transitioning from female to male ten years earlier, and the couple became engaged sometime in recent years.

Oh my gosh, before he was the amazing Chaz Bono I know and love, he was Chastity! And can you believe he was on The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour as a kid? His parents were HUGE, and he was right there with them! It’s just… incredible to think about his whole journey, even way back then.

Now an actor, he most recently appearing in American Horror Story and Curb Your Enthusiasm. 

Shara, a teenager from Hollywood, California, appeared in the TV comedy ‘It’s Your Move’ with Jason Bateman, who was also 16 at the time. The show finished airing in 1985.
