Charli XCX turned heads as she arrived at the afterparty for the premiere of ‘The Moment’ on Thursday.
The 33-year-old singer turned heads on the red carpet, wearing a blue corset and very short shorts.
After the formal event, she changed into more relaxed clothes, trading her restrictive corset for a comfortable black vest to enjoy the party.
Charli added to her look with a faux fur stole and sheer tights.
The singer, known for her song ‘Brat,’ seemed cheerful and playful that evening, jokingly posing with director Aidan Zamiri.
Not seen with Charli was Kylie Jenner, who had joined her on the red carpet that evening.
Kylie, the 28-year-old makeup entrepreneur, appears in a new, much-awaited ‘mockumentary’ that looks back at Charli’s famous ‘Brat’ period. This is Kylie’s first time acting in a film or show.
Kylie showed off her fit stomach on her night out, wearing a flouncy sleeveless top with a long, low-cut black skirt.
Charli’s film, previously called a ‘tour mockumentary,’ debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City over the weekend.
This documentary follows Charli as she prepares for her first major concert tour, looking at both her life behind the scenes and her public image.
The show depicts how a subculture changes when it becomes popular and profitable, with music industry leaders wondering how to maintain that trendy, rebellious energy indefinitely.
The Moment is slated for nationwide release on February 6.
However, select theaters in the United States will kick off The Moment premieres on January 30.
The premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday was a glamorous event, drawing major stars from both the music and movie industries to the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills.
The trailer, released in December, mixes real concert clips with funny, made-up scenes starring actors Alexander Skarsgård and Rachel Sennott.
At the start of the scene, Charli wonders if the current trend of declaring a “Brat Summer” is a little embarrassing.
It feels like people are constantly complaining, endlessly repeating the same criticisms. And honestly, maybe they have a point. It’s just… frustrating.
The musician is portrayed as grappling with the pressures of fame, expressing frustration that people constantly expect her to be groundbreaking and effortlessly cool.
Kylie says that when people start to tire of you, that’s the time to really double down on your efforts.
