Chappell Roan has ended her relationship with her booking agency, Wasserman Music, because of its founder, Casey Wasserman’s, connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, both of whom were involved in child sex trafficking.
Roan announced on Monday that they have parted ways with their talent agency, Wasserman, led by Casey Wasserman. In a social media post, Roan explained that they expect their professional team to uphold high standards and prioritize the well-being of those they represent. They believe it’s unacceptable for anyone – artists, agents, or staff – to be asked to ignore or excuse behavior that goes against their principles. Roan expressed gratitude for the hard work of the agents and staff at Wasserman, but ultimately felt they needed representation that reflects their values and ensures their safety and respect. This decision, they stated, is about demanding accountability and trustworthy leadership within the entertainment industry.
Roan was previously represented by Jackie Nalpant, Kiely Mosiman, Adele Slater, and Anna Bewers, all of whom work at Wasserman. It’s currently unknown if these agents will leave the agency along with Roan, and her representatives haven’t yet responded to requests for comment.

Maxwell responded by questioning Wasserman’s stamina, playfully suggesting she test certain techniques on him and asking for feedback.
Local leaders are asking Casey Wasserman to resign from his position on the Olympic committee. L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn stated that Wasserman’s continued involvement is a distraction from the athletes and the significant work required to get ready for the 2028 Olympics.
Bethany Cosentino, the musician behind the band Best Coast, recently ended her relationship with the agency Wasserman due to their connections to Jeffrey Epstein. She explained that she’s frustrated with a pattern in the music industry where powerful men are repeatedly excused for bad behavior. Cosentino expressed her annoyance with being expected to overlook serious wrongdoing, especially when those responsible still maintain control and influence.
