As a huge fan of Heat, I’m incredibly excited about Heat 2! It’s based on the novel Michael Mann co-wrote recently, and from what I understand, it’s going to be a really ambitious project. It’s not just a sequel, but also a prequel – we’ll get to see what happened before the original movie, filling in the backstories of all those iconic characters, and then follow them into the aftermath. Now that Michael Mann has confirmed filming is starting, it’s easily one of the movies I’m most looking forward to seeing.

Mystery Science Theater 3000, or MST3K, took some of the worst movies ever made and turned them into comedy gold with its quick, witty commentary. The show’s deliberately low-budget, homemade feel also gave it a charming, unique quality that stood out from other television programs of the time. And unlike many other popular shows from that era, MST3K enjoyed a surprisingly long run.

I was surprised to see it, but Aladdin – the live-action version from a few years back – is really taking off on Disney+ right now! According to the folks at FlixPatrol, it’s currently the seventh most-watched movie on the platform here in the US. What’s even more interesting is that it’s the only live-action remake in Disney+’s top ten, which just proves how much people still love that story and how well that remake connected with audiences. It really seems like it’s earned its place as one of Disney’s biggest remake successes.

We haven’t received many updates about the upcoming Hannibal movie, and it doesn’t even have a title yet. However, according to World of Reel, filming for the Netflix movie is scheduled to start this June.

Despite being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michael Mann, Blackhat was a box office disappointment, earning just $20 million on a $70 million budget. Critics generally disliked the film, giving it a 33% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, surprisingly, some critics actually named it as one of their favorite films of the year. This raises the question: is Blackhat a flop or a hidden gem? In fact, when considering his overall filmography, it arguably stands out as Chris Hemsworth’s strongest performance.

However, many dedicated fans of spy stories believe the most exciting action happens on television, not in James Bond movies. They might argue that some Bond films don’t measure up to the best spy shows ever made.

The early 1980s saw the beginnings of video game movies, but the technology wasn’t quite there yet. Because computer graphics were limited, these films featured live actors alongside very simple, blocky digital worlds. Just as the new TRON: Ares feels different from the original TRON of 1982, audiences are now able to fully appreciate the vision of The Last Starfighter, something that wouldn’t have been possible back then.

Alex Van Halen is currently working on an album featuring music recorded during jam sessions with his brother, Eddie, and other musicians. He’s still completing the production, including mixing the tracks, possibly adding instruments, and finishing the vocals. Sammy Hagar will not be involved in this project.

Many viewers are likely already familiar with the entire Invincible comic series, but others are still reading it alongside the show. The promotion for season 4 has revealed that several storylines from the comics will be adapted, giving us a good idea of what to expect.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ second film in the series moved away from the serious tone of the first Godzilla movie, instead taking viewers on a colorful adventure through a jungle full of monsters. However, beneath the exciting monster action is a story deeply connected to the pain and consequences of the Vietnam War. Set in 1973, the film features tired soldiers and clear visual nods to the war, using this backdrop to examine themes of obsession, sorrow, and the struggle to find purpose after fighting stops.
