Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again isn’t just another installment in the series—it feels like the culmination of the story that began with the show’s first season. It showcases Kingpin at his most powerful and manipulative, and pushes Daredevil to his absolute limit. Amidst all the intense action, the season tells a surprisingly timely story that stays true to the original comics.

Much of this is due to the fact that Neuromancer is a hugely influential work, often credited with shaping the cyberpunk genre, much like Blade Runner. Cyberpunk 2077, like all cyberpunk stories after 1984, drew heavily from Neuromancer, though the depth of that influence isn’t always obvious. Interestingly, the new Neuromancer series on Apple TV+ feels very much like a live-action adaptation of Cyberpunk 2077.
