Taika Waititi’s ‘Klara and the Sun’ Adaptation Gets First Trailer & Release Date at CinemaCon

At CinemaCon, Sony Pictures showed a first look at the upcoming film, Klara and the Sun. The footage offered a glimpse into the movie’s futuristic and somewhat bleak world, based on the popular novel. The story centers around “Artificial Friends” – robots designed to be companions for children. We’re introduced to Klara, played by Jenna Ortega, who wonders if she’ll be a good fit for the child she’s assigned to. That child is Josie (Mia Tharia), but Josie’s mother, Chrissie (Amy Adams), isn’t immediately convinced, questioning, “Is this the one? She seems tired.”
