Reboots of classic shows are happening frequently, but many fail to capture what made the originals so special. This can leave viewers disappointed and suggest the original series wasn’t worth revisiting. As a result, some animated reboots struggle to attract an audience and may even upset longtime fans.
The Furs and Living Colour were both fantastic bands, though they explored different sounds. The Furs created atmospheric New Wave, while Living Colour played hard-hitting, blues-influenced rock, spearheaded by guitarist Vernon Reid. While both were critically acclaimed, it’s an open question how much their fanbases overlapped.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m really excited to see Tom Holland back as Spider-Man this July in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. From what I’ve heard, it’s going to be packed with familiar faces from the MCU – both heroes and villains! There’s even buzz that we might finally get to see Marvel’s take on Jean Grey, with Sadie Sink potentially playing the role. But the big event, at least for me, is Avengers: Doomsday coming in December. I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the best Marvel movies yet!

Unlike many anime series, short-run shows see their limited length as a benefit, not a problem. They avoid unnecessary storylines or episodes just meant to stall for time, and instead focus on a tight, engaging plot. These shows, ranging from just a few to twelve episodes, cover all sorts of genres – from robots and suspense to sports and love stories – proving that a quick, focused format can work for any type of story.
A trailer released on March 19, 2026 – a year before the movie Sonic the Hedgehog 4 comes out – gave fans a first look at the story. It confirmed Jim Carrey will be back as Dr. Robotnik and showed off Amy’s Piko Piko Hammer, as well as a glimpse of Metal Sonic. The trailer also strongly suggested that the Chaos Emeralds will play a major role in the film’s plot.
Although a release date for Solo Leveling Season 3 hasn’t been announced yet, the video game Solo Leveling: Arise is maintaining fan excitement during the anime’s break. The game recently revealed scenes that are likely to appear in the upcoming season.
While the team behind Cyberpunk 2077 has continued to improve the game, a large and active modding community has also formed around it. Many mods are available for PC players, but a new one called Cyberpunk 2077: Survival System is particularly noteworthy.
The creators of the hit show Stranger Things, known as The Duffer Brothers, are producing a new supernatural series for Netflix. Their production company, Upside Down Pictures, will release the show on May 21st. It features a well-known cast and tells the story of a seemingly idyllic town terrorized by frightening supernatural creatures.
Netflix has released the official trailer for Season 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, giving fans a first glimpse of what’s in store when the popular mystery series returns on May 27th. The trailer shows Emma Myers as Pip trying to move past the events of last season, but a new set of secrets is about to pull her into another dangerous and potentially inescapable thriller.
Many shows are great to binge-watch, and it can be a good way to quickly get through a weaker first season, like with Netflix’s BoJack Horseman, and reach the show’s best parts. But some shows, like Netflix’s intense thrillers You and Mindhunter, are best watched more slowly. They’re so suspenseful that viewers often miss subtle character development and clever plot points when they’re on the edge of their seats.
