The 2015 film The Martian is doing surprisingly well on demand. It’s currently the 17th most downloaded movie on Apple TV+ in the United States – that’s even more popular than newer releases like Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and The Super Mario Bros. Movie! If you don’t want to rent or buy it, you can stream The Martian on AMC+.

As reported by Deadline, Wagner Moura will star as a uniquely gifted and unconventional detective. His character is moving from New York City to Nashville, and is also described as charming but troubled, with a complicated past. This type of casting could significantly impact the show, particularly as it’s a new spin-off still finding its footing.

The writer of The Cloverfield Paradox believes that setting a potential second season during World War II would offer a fantastic backdrop for the story, if Prime Video decides to move forward with another season.

Production on a new Netflix film began on April 20, 2026, in Queensland, Australia. The movie will be directed by Jim Mickle, known for Sweet Tooth and Cold in July, and features an original story set during a long-running space war. Netflix says fans of the franchise and viewers can expect to see actors from shows and films like The White Lotus, Deadpool & Wolverine, and Dune: Part Three.

I’m a huge fan of ’90s anime, and I think it really changed everything! The best shows from that era weren’t afraid to break the mold and try completely new things with storytelling. They proved anime could be incredibly deep and complex, and honestly, a lot of them still hold up better than a lot of what’s being made today. They really captured my imagination and continue to do so!
