The other night I waited an hour for one more player to join my expedition, and it seems I’m not alone; even Ted Litchfield encountered the same problem, waiting two hours for the matchmaking to work.

The Commander in Elden Ring’s Nightreign faction, active during the night, is an exceptional adversary for three players. He boasts a variety of tools such as summons, enhancements, and far-reaching attacks to challenge you. To even the odds, he may summon troops, but beware, he also has a massive health reserve and few obvious vulnerabilities. However, understanding his abilities and adapting your strategy can make this boss fight seem easier than expected.

Fortunately, players of the game Nightreign on Reddit have discovered a technique that guarantees you’ll be at the highest level when battling your run’s ultimate boss. However, I must admit, this method is rather tedious.

But fear not, as daunting as it may seem, toppling this boss can prove surprisingly straightforward if you’re armed with the right strategies.

Among all the Nightfarer characters, the Raider is most reminiscent of a gameplay style that heavily relies on strength. Armed predominantly with massive weapons, the Raider’s attacks may not be swift, but they pack a powerful punch. Essentially, the Raider embodies what a strength-focused player would wish for.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, bowguns might seem slightly distinct from their counterparts in past games, but if you’ve played the series before, you’ll likely adapt quickly. Initially, the abundance of skills and armor may appear overwhelming, but mastering what complements your chosen weapon will provide a significant edge.
