This Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall-esque indie game proves viral AI posts wrong with its stunning pixel graphics and classic RPG vibes: “Who was the person who made a tweet saying a game like this is impossible?”

Dominick John, the developer behind Project Shadowglass at Starhelm Studios, wants to be clear: this game isn’t made with AI. He’s building it in the Godot engine, and the results are impressive. It’s taking the kinds of short, AI-created game scenes you might have seen online and turning them into something much bigger and more detailed. John has shared several clips of the game, which he describes as a stealth-based immersive sim set in a dark fantasy world.

Capcom gave Monster Hunter Wilds a cool raid boss from Final Fantasy 14, but its recent Steam reviews have tanked since the update over new apparent performance and driver issues

The collaboration between Final Fantasy 14 and Monster Hunter Wilds is progressing nicely, bringing Omega Planetes – a version of the recurring Final Fantasy super boss – into Capcom’s monster-hunting game. That’s neat. However, it’s not enough to overshadow the issues with the game’s performance on PC. Cool. But not cool enough to distract from PC performance woes.

Xbox Surprise Release Includes Two Elder Scrolls Games

Among the Elder Scrolls games, you can now play The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard with PC Game Pass Premium or PC Game Pass Ultimate. Originally released for MS-DOS in 1998, this game stands out in the RPG series because it’s the only one where you play as a specific character and experience the story from a fixed, third-person perspective. Despite the title, the game doesn’t take place in Hammerfell – the region many expect to be the setting of The Elder Scrolls 6. Instead, the story unfolds on Stros M’Kai, an island near the Redguard homeland.

Wuchang and Firefighting Simulator: Ignite!

Today I’m taking a look at two games: Wuchang: Fallen Feathers and Firefighting Sim: Ignite. I didn’t initially expect to be playing a challenging, Souls-like game and a realistic firefighting simulator, but that’s what happened! Both games have been surprisingly good so far, based on my experience, even though these genres aren’t usually what I play.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Review

The unexpected release of a remaster of Oblivion earlier this year felt like a good chance to address a missing piece in my gaming experience. I think I went into it more as a study than anything else. It wasn’t a feeling of wanting to revisit the past or a genuine desire to play – it felt more like a task. I felt I *should* play Oblivion because it’s a significant game I ought to experience, which is a bit circular in its reasoning. It might help me better analyze other RPGs, or perhaps I could finally understand a game I’d been aware of, but intentionally avoided, since it first came out almost twenty years ago; I wasn’t completely certain.

Rumor: Big Kingdom Come Deliverance Update Reportedly Coming Early Next Year

Although the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance is well-loved by RPG players, its sequel is a significant improvement. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been highly praised by both gamers and critics, and is now a leading candidate for Game of the Year. Players have commended Warhorse Studios for enhancing the combat, building a bigger and more detailed open world, and maintaining a remarkable level of realism. However, the sequel faces stiff competition from other strong contenders like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and several other deserving titles.

Monster Hunter Outlanders closed beta test set for November

I’m so excited! The team at TiMi Studio Group just announced that people at Tokyo Game Show will get to play the game early, which is awesome. But that’s just a small taste of everything they’re building. They’re working super hard right now to get the first closed beta ready for November, and they promise it’ll really show off all the cool stuff the game has to offer. They said to keep an eye out for more details soon, and I definitely will be!
