Cardi B admits she didn’t know she was pregnant when getting her ‘illegal’ butt injections removed
As a longtime fan who has witnessed Cardi B’s meteoric rise to fame, I find myself both saddened and inspired by her latest revelation. Saddened because, as a fellow mother, I can only imagine the fear and uncertainty she must have felt during those critical months of pregnancy while undergoing surgery unaware of the life growing within her. But inspired, because Cardi’s resilience and strength continue to shine through even in the face of adversity.
As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself reflecting on Cardi B’s recent revelation. Earlier this year, unbeknownst to her, she was pregnant while undergoing major surgery. This news underscores the importance of regular health check-ups and open communication with medical professionals.
31-year-old rapper recently disclosed that she underwent procedures to remove her butt implants and address fibrosis, unaware that she was pregnant with her third child in January.
On Instagram Live last Monday, she shared with her followers that immediately following the completion of my music video “Like What” in January, I had to undergo a surgical procedure.
Cardi (whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) clarified that before the procedures she had undergone several pregnancy tests and blood tests, all of which showed negative results. However, after she had suspicions about being pregnant, her OBGYN confirmed that she was actually 17 weeks into her pregnancy.
I recently had additional fat injections from my rear area surgically removed. You understand that this process requires multiple sessions. Moreover, I went to address some fibrosis-related issues during the visit.
Back in December 2022, Cardi openly expressed remorse about undergoing an unlawful treatment and disclosed that approximately 95% of the silicone used for her injections has been successfully taken out.
Previously, she admitted to a GQ interview that she underwent facial filler injections in a basement of an apartment in Queens back in 2014, which cost her $800. She described the experience as “the most insane pain I’ve ever felt.
Cardi also advised her young female fans to stay away from getting BBL surgery.
One day in March, I awoke to find that my mouth had an unusual metallic taste, reminiscent of copper. To put it simply, it tasted like copper. My immediate reaction was something along the lines of “Wow!” It seems this experience is connected to pregnancy for me.
The performer behind “Bodak Yellow” asserted that she instinctively understood she was expecting, even after two negative results from pregnancy blood tests.
Initially, Cardi believed she was roughly six or seven weeks pregnant, but her gynecologist in New York disclosed that she was actually almost 17 weeks into her pregnancy.
Shocked by the revelation, Cardi B confessed that her intimacy with her separated spouse Offset was limited to just one occasion in the entire year – on Valentine’s Day.
She said that once she had come to terms with her pregnancy, she didn’t ‘think much of it.’
The person from New York stated: ‘My partner Offset and I were experiencing a difficult period in our relationship, yet I still communicated with him. I said something like, “Hey, I’m expecting,” and we shared an unexpected laugh because it felt so unpredictable, as if to say, “What on earth, that’s quite random.”‘
Upon viewing her child during the ultrasound, she felt deeply emotional about taking on the role of a mother once more.
She said: ‘When I look [at the ultrasound], it was a whole baby. It’s not like a little bean, type of sh*t. It was a big a** baby
However, I must be honest with you; as soon as I viewed the ultrasound and realized it was a fully formed baby, with all ten toes and ten fingers visible, my emotions became incredibly intense.
Cardi welcomed her baby girl on September 12. She has to reveal her little bundle of joy’s name.
Her live broadcast takes place during the tumultuous period of her separation and impending divorce from rapper Offset, aged 32, whom she wed in 2017.
