- Online matchmaking and live support will permanently end.
- Game was previously delisted from Google Play and App Store.
Activision has announced that COD Warzone Mobile will officially shut down on April 17, 2026. This means players will no longer be able to play the game online or find matches after that date. The company had previously stated the game would be removed from app stores and no longer receive updates.
Activision recently expressed gratitude to the game’s fans, but emphasized that their primary attention is now on Call of Duty: Mobile, which is still being actively developed and updated.
A brief Google Play pre-registration caused confusion about Warzone Mobile’s possible return
Let’s go back to 2025: Activision decided to take Warzone Mobile off both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. They stopped adding new seasons or updates, and players could no longer buy anything in the game with real money.
As we previously announced regarding changes to our services, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile servers will be shut down on April 17, 2026. We want to thank our players for their incredible support and for joining us! This decision does not…

Players who downloaded the game before it was taken down could still play online and keep their progress on all platforms. The game servers remained active, allowing players to continue finding and joining matches, and all previously available content stayed accessible.
With the confirmed shutdown date of April 17, 2026, online support for the game will also end. After that date, Warzone Mobile won’t be playable online as it was designed.
Okay, so this is weird – after Warzone Mobile was taken down from the Google Play Store, it actually popped back up for a little while with the pre-registration option still active! Everyone immediately started wondering if Activision was thinking about bringing it back, because the game really had a lot of potential. It was a confusing moment, but it definitely got fans talking about a possible relaunch.
It seems the recent reappearance was just a technical update for existing users on the Google Play Store, not a full relaunch. There were never any official plans to bring the app back, and it didn’t return to the Apple App Store.
