The mystery thriller Neighborhood Watch is currently very popular in the UK. It features Jack Quaid, known for his role in The Boys, as Simon, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, from The Walking Dead, as Ed.
Simon, dealing with a mental health condition, believes he witnessed a kidnapping. He asks his neighbor Ed, a former security guard, for help.
Morgan and Quaid will be joined by Cecile Cubiló, Jim Klock, and Malin Akerman, known for her role in The Hunting Wives.

The movie Neighborhood Watch, which first came out in theaters in April 2025, became available on NOW streaming this past Sunday and is now one of their most popular films, currently ranking fifth.
I checked out the IMDb rating for this movie, and it’s sitting at a 6.2 out of 10, which isn’t bad! One person really loved it, calling it a smart look at what goes on behind closed doors in the suburbs, with a great mystery and some criminal elements. They ended by saying if you like thrillers with lots of twists and a bit of that classic noir feel, you absolutely have to see it.

Jack Quaid gives the best performance of his career, portraying Simon’s schizophrenia with impressive realism and emotional depth. Jeffrey Dean Morgan adds a lovable, rough-around-the-edges quality to the character of Ed, and the actors’ connection makes the story more compelling than it might otherwise have been, according to one viewer.
One viewer praised Neighborhood Watch, saying it was a fun and well-told story, a welcome change from many recent movies that don’t focus as much on good storytelling.

One reviewer noted that while Neighborhood Watch doesn’t offer anything particularly innovative for crime thriller fans, its heartfelt story and good acting make it a worthwhile and engaging watch for those who enjoy the genre.
One reviewer called the film “good” but also “extremely boring.” They felt it was watchable and well-made, but ultimately didn’t leave a lasting impression. It wasn’t a bad movie, just one that didn’t quite live up to its full potential.
According to Rotten Tomatoes, the film received a 71% rating based on 34 reviews. Screen Rant described it as a heartwarming story about a young man finding belonging, cleverly woven into an exciting crime thriller.
Neighborhood Watch is streaming on NOW.
