“Brilliant” but ‘underrated’ comedy-drama that’s been branded ‘landmark television’ gets new UK home

The popular and highly-rated American series This Close is coming to ITVX for UK viewers. Created by and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, the show first launched in 2018 and will be available to stream from March 12, 2026.

According to ITV, the drama created by Stern and Feldman is a significant achievement in television, being the first series made by, written by, and starring Deaf creators.

This show centers on the lives of two best friends in their twenties, Kate and Michael. Kate is newly engaged, while Michael is navigating the aftermath of a tough breakup with his former fiancé.

This Close will be available to watch on ITVX on Thursday 12 March.
