Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor’s shark thriller lands release date
As a long-time fan of Phoebe Dynevor, it’s always a delight to see her grace our screens with her exceptional talent and charm. From Daphne Bridgerton to her recent roles in Netflix movies like “Fair Play” and “Bank of Dave,” she has proven time and again that she is an actress to watch out for.
The American release date for the shark thriller starring Phoebe Dynevor from Bridgerton has been announced, along with its title.
The upcoming film, initially revealed in May, is being developed by Tommy Wirkola, the creator of “Violent Night,” but specifics about its storyline are still under wraps.
Yet, its title remains unspecified as “Beneath the Storm“, and it’s scheduled to hit American screens on August 1, 2025.
Filming for the project kicks off this summer in Australia, with both Whitney Peak from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Djimon Hounsou from A Quiet Place: Day One joining the cast.
It’s likely that Dynevor gained considerable recognition due to her role as Daphne Bridgerton during the initial season of the Netflix show.
Ever since then, I’ve had the privilege to be featured in a variety of productions. For instance, I’ve graced the screens in Netflix shows like “Fair Play” and “Bank of Dave”. Additionally, I was given the opportunity to show my real-life self on the screen in Prime Video’s adaptation of “Call My Agent”, titled “Ten Percent”.
Previously this year, Dynevor expressed regret over the scarcity of roles suitable for women her age, sharing with The Standard: “It might not be wise to admit it, but opportunities are somewhat limited.”
“It seems there’s an abundance of opportunities for male actors… There are just so many of them, each one impressive in their own right. These young talents never slow down; they consistently put in hard work, which is truly commendable.”
As a woman of my generation, I cannot help but notice the stark contrast between the opportunities available to young girls today and those that were available to me at their age. The progress made is undeniable, yet it seems there is still so much more room for growth, especially when considering the unique challenges we face as women. It’s a bittersweet realization, knowing that my own life experiences have not been enough to pave the way for true equality and representation. I am hopeful, however, that today’s young girls will continue to break down barriers and create opportunities for themselves and generations to come.
“This period is particularly beneficial for mature women, which is fantastic. There are many opportunities for the younger male counterparts as well, yet it seems there aren’t many roles suitable for actresses of my generation.”
It became official in May that Dynevor got engaged to actor Cameron Fuller from “A Quiet Place.” They shared their joyous news on Instagram.
