Bridgerton season 4 confirms which sibling romance is next

As a passionate and devoted fan of Bridgerton, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard that season 4 would be focusing on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. The recent third season left us all craving for more after the heartwarming romance between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton.

Bridgerton has confirmed which sibling romance will take centre stage in season 4.

After wrapping up the storyline between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton in season 3, the upcoming episodes will shift attention towards Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson).

Netflix unveiled a sneak peek trailer for Bridgerton, featuring glimpses of the siblings in action. Beyond the camera, Thompson stepped through a door for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look.

The hidden voice says, “It seems they’re preparing a suit for you,” to which Thompson replies, “I’m good with my existing attire for tonight.”

The voice says, “This isn’t for use tonight… it’s for the masquerade ball costume instead.”

“In that case, come on in,” the actor then says.

The third season of Bridgerton ended last month, but unfortunately, fans might have to wait quite some time for the fourth installment. According to showrunner Jess Brownell, who spoke last month, the production of season 4 could take up to two years.

She shared with The Hollywood Reporter that we’re making an effort to accelerate the production process for the seasons, but it takes eight months to film and another few months for editing and dubbing in various languages.

“It also requires extensive writing which significantly slows down the process. Consequently, we’re looking at approximately a two-year timeline. We’re making efforts to work faster, but progress is likely to remain within this timeframe.”

Brownell revealed their team was enthusiastic about the project they were working on, stating, “We’re almost at the end of the writers’ room phase.”

She expressed her belief that this project represents some of our finest efforts and those of the writers’ room. Our teamwork has been exceptionally productive, and we’re operating at peak performance. I’m excited for the audience to experience what we’ve created.

Bridgerton seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix, along with Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.
