And Just Like That filming photos tease possible death in season 3

As a huge fan of Sex and the City, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and apprehension as new details about And Just Like That‘s third season emerge. The potential for major character deaths and return of past loves like Aidan Shaw have me on the edge of my seat.

And Just Like That spoilers follow.

And Just Like That has teased a possible character death in season three as filming continues.

In recently released photos from the filming of the next season, some prominent characters such as Carrie Bradshaw (portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker), Aidan Shaw (John Corbett), Miranda Hobbs (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) are depicted in a group, all dressed entirely in black attire.

Meanwhile, another photo shows Carrie and Aidan looking solemn as they walk hand-in-hand.

While nothing has been confirmed, it certainly looks like the group could be attending a funeral.

After the season two finale, it was unclear if Aidan would come back to the show following his request for a five-year hiatus from Carrie to focus on his kids in Virginia.

Instead, Corbette was initially seen shooting season three scenes in New York City’s streets as early as May. His character was depicted knocking on Carrie’s door, carrying luggage.

In the upcoming third season, Miranda’s past love interest, Che Diaz, portrayed by actress Sara Ramirez who previously starred in “Grey’s Anatomy,” will not make an appearance.

Lately, I’ve heard Nixon share some insights about Ramirez’s departure from the show. According to him, the creator Michael Patrick King believed that the character had reached its conclusion and it was time for a new chapter.

She remarked, “That character they developed was truly remarkable, yet provoking in its own way. I believe the creators, including Michael Patrick, felt it was time for a change. They introduced new elements and wrapped up the storyline.”

In the third season of “And Just Like That,” Miranda may have a new love interest. Evidence from recent set photos indicates that this new character, named Joy, will be portrayed by actress Dolly Wells, who is known for her role in “Inside Man.” The show, which is the sequel to “Sex and the City,” can be watched on Max in the US and Sky Comedy and NOW in the UK.
