Brett Goldstein’s British superhero comedy is now on Prime Video
As a fan of both Brett Goldstein’s exceptional acting skills and British humor, I can confidently say that the release of his 2015 superhero comedy “SuperBob” on Amazon Freevee is an absolute treat! This film, where our beloved postman Bob Kenner (Goldstein) acquires superpowers after a meteorite strike, is not just a hilarious journey but also a heartwarming tale of self-discovery.
Actor Brett Goldstein, famous for his role in Ted Lasso, presents his British superhero comedy titled SuperBob, which is now ready for viewing on Amazon Prime Video.
2015 saw the debut of a movie that revolved around Bob Kenner, a resident postman from Peckham, who gained extraordinary abilities following an encounter with a meteorite. (Goldstein played the role of Bob.)
At first, Bob attempts to control his abilities on his own, but an unforeseen collision with The Shard prompts the Ministry of Defense to intervene and aid him in his journey towards becoming the world’s inaugural superhero.
In October 2015, the movie was first shown at the London Comedy Festival. Critics showered it with high praise, commending its “genuine warmth” and “emotional depth.
As well as starring in the comedy, Goldstein also co-wrote the script with William Bridges.
As a fervent admirer, I’d like to highlight that the stellar cast of “SuperBob” features Catherine Tate, who captivated me as the Doctor in “Doctor Who”; Ruth Sheen, the brilliant actress from “Brassic”; David Harewood, whom I know from his role in “Supergirl”; Natalia Tena, a mesmerizing star from “Game of Thrones”; and lastly, Laura Haddock, an actress I’ve admired from her work in “Guardians of the Galaxy”. What a lineup!
You can now re-immerse yourself in the action for free via the ad-supported platform Amazon Freevee, which you can download as a standalone app on many different devices.
You can find the movie titled “SuperBob” streaming on the Amazon Prime Video app, which includes a distinct channel called Amazon Freevee. Although having an Amazon account is necessary for access, it doesn’t obligate you to be a Prime member.
2021 has been a bustling year for Goldstein. He’s planning to team up once more with his “SuperBob” collaborator, Bridges, for their upcoming romantic film titled “All of You“. This movie also features Imogen Poots from the series “Outer Range” in its cast.
The sci-fi series revolves around two inseparable companions, who nurture a silent affection towards each other, despite a test assigning one of them a potential soulmate.
In a subsequent role, the actor from Ted Lasso is set to star alongside Jennifer Lopez in the romantic comedy titled Office Romance, which has been acquired by Netflix for distribution.
Additionally, it has been announced that Goldstein will be part of the illustrious ensemble in director Kornel Mundruczó’s forthcoming drama, “At the Sea.” This film boasts an impressive lineup that includes Amy Adams, Murray Bartlett, and Dan Levy.
SuperBob is now available to watch on Prime Video.
