As I delve into the captivating tale of Bjorn Ulvaeus, I am struck by the poignant ebb and flow of his love life, mirroring perhaps the rhythm of an ABBA hit. Born from the enchanting union with his first wife Agnetha Faltskog, their bond was forged in the crucible of youthful passion and musical dreams. Yet, as the sands of time slipped through the hourglass, they found themselves parting ways, leaving behind a legacy that would continue to resonate in the hearts of millions.

As a lifestyle aficionado, I’m thrilled to share that the legendary musician and songwriter, Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA, has taken another walk down the aisle – this time with his beloved partner of two years. The heartwarming wedding ceremony was officiated by none other than Sandi Toksvig, the talented host of “The Great British Bake Off.” What an enchanting union!

79-year-old Swedish singer exchanged vows with his 51-year-old Danish partner, Christina Sas, in a private ceremony attended by friends and family in Copenhagen.

On Instagram, Björn announced his joyous news by posting several pictures from an ‘exceptionally memorable’ day, during which Christina donned a beautiful khaki gown.

21st of September 2024 saw Björn Ulvaeus’ wedding to Christina Sas from Herning, Denmark, as announced on his Instagram post.

In the year 2021, they came together in Nuremberg, specifically for the launch of ABBA’s final album, ‘Voyage’. Their romance blossomed in the spring season of 2022.

‘The wedding took place in Copenhagen in the presence of close friends and family.

Sandi Toksvig, Anne Linnet, and Kaya Brüel graciously took the stage and truly elevated the event with their captivating performances.

At the event, Sandi, aged 66 and longtime friend of Björn following their collaboration on Mamma Mia: The Party! (2018), chose to wear a vibrant red robe resembling clerical attire.

In their initial joint appearance in June 2022, Björn and Christina shared with journalists: “We’ve been seeing each other for some time now, and I felt it was appropriate to bring her along to this occasion. Hence, this is our first public outing as a couple.

The couple met when Christina worked for ABBA’s label Universal in Germany, which released their 2021 album Voyage.

In the subsequent year, he disclosed that his 41-year-long marriage to his second spouse, renowned music journalist Lena Kallersjo (aged 75), had come to an end.

In February 2022, Björn and Lena, parents of Emma, 42, and Anna, 38, announced their separation. They mutually decided to divide their estimated £100 million fortune evenly.

It read: ‘After many wonderful and eventful years, we have decided to go our separate ways.

‘Our friendship stays strong, and we look forward to sharing in the joyous occasions like our grandkids’ birthdays and other family gatherings on special holidays.’

From 1971 to 1979, Bjorn was married to his bandmate and first wife Agnetha Faltskog.

They jointly welcomed Linda (age 49) and Peter (age 44) into their family, and since the reunion of ABBA, they have been spending more quality time together.

At merely 19, I found myself captivated by Björn, not just a young man, but one who graced the stage as a beloved member of a renowned folk ensemble, five years my elder.

They married two years later in 1971, the year before Abba was formed.

Within a week of their separation, Björn was dating Swedish TV presenter Lena.

At a New Year’s celebration held at the residence of Björn’s fellow ABBA members, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, was where the couple first crossed paths.

Initially, Björn and Agnetha characterized their separation as an amicable one, referring to it as a “happy divorce.” However, Agnetha admitted at a later point that she had experienced deep emotional pain, stating she felt “wounded” and required professional counseling.

The anguish of their separation became eternally captured in the popular song “The Winner Takes It All,” leaving many fans pondering for years if Björn was intentionally harsh by asking his former spouse to sing the sorrowful lyric: “Does she kiss like I used to kiss you?” (rephrased)

In 2020, during an interview with the Guardian’s Weekend magazine, Bjorn openly discussed his intimate life, stating that at the age of 75, he could only sustain intimacy four times a week.
