It’s a great moment for Billy Idol. He easily could have been a one-hit wonder, defined by his 80s look and popular music videos. But after fading from public view in the 90s, he’s enjoying a resurgence now.
I finally got around to watching the new Billy Idol documentary on Hulu – it’s called ‘Billy Idol Should Be Dead’ – and seriously, it’s amazing! It’s so good, I’d even say it’s worth getting a Hulu subscription just to see it, if you don’t already have one.
In addition to the recent documentary, Billy Idol is also being considered for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2026. He’s been nominated previously without success, but many believe he deserves to be included. Though he moved away from traditional punk music, his groundbreaking music videos had a huge impact on the 1980s and helped define the decade.
Billy Idol drops 17 new tour dates for 2026
Although he doesn’t release albums as often anymore, he continues to tour regularly. He’s already scheduled shows in Las Vegas from August 28th to September 10th, and now he’s added 17 more dates for a tour across the United States.
Tickets for Billy Idol’s concerts go on sale soon! A special VIP pre-sale begins on Wednesday, April 8th, at 2 pm local time. Tickets for the general public will be available starting Friday, April 10th, at 12 pm local time. The concerts start in August, following two previously announced shows in mid-July. Visit Billy Idol’s website for details.
