Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas defends sister after her verse on Charli XCX’s Guess remix is slammed as ‘predatory’

A user on social media under the name @windows199x shared a brief clip of 22-year-old Billie’s song, accompanied by an extensive commentary.
The writer stated that Billie’s poem on Guess appears to be quite predatory, yet many overlook this due to her frequent use of queerbaiting as a marketing strategy. (Or) The person argued that Billie’s work for Guess seems predatorial, but it often goes unnoticed because she frequently employs queerbaiting tactics for commercial purposes.
Ever since I’ve been observing and analyzing societal trends for many years, I’ve noticed a disturbing pattern in certain individuals like Charli, who have been objectifying women ever since the ‘Lost Cause’ controversy erupted. It seems to me that she’s been reducing females to mere objects, all in an attempt to deceive the masses into believing her attraction towards them is genuine. At 32 years old and engaged, it’s disheartening to see someone with such a questionable past continue to perpetuate harmful stereotypes. It’s unfortunate that someone who has the power to influence others would choose to use it in this manner.
Finneas, aged 27, retorted in the comments, “What a twist of events! For a whole year, I had to witness the internet criticize my sister for supposed queer-baiting. In truth, it was everyone pushing her to openly identify as such.”
The comment was deleted by the user, prompting someone to write: ‘you deleted finneas’ comment bc you KNOW he’s right. like seriously get a grip and grow up.’
Another person echoed the sentiment, adding, ‘Ok bro deleted Finneas’ comment because he knows Finneas is right. All you post is hate on here dude. Grow up and find something else to do.’
Billie and Charli delighted fans with the release of their provocative collaboration on Thursday.
The video showcases a house party overflowing with lingerie, where Eilish dramatically arrives on the scene by driving in on a tractor.
In a rhythmic blend of singing and rapping for the Guess remix, Ocean Eyes artist playfully expresses: ‘I want to taste it, nibble it, lick it, spit it / Move it aside and explore every corner / Kiss it, nibble it, can I fit it? / Though Charli prefers boys, she knows I’d be interested.’
Another fan came to Eilish’s defense, stating, ‘If Charli wasn’t okay with Billie’s verse, she would’ve never released it.’

In 2021, the musician known as The Bad Guy singer-songwriter was accused of queerbaiting, which involves hinting at same-sex relationships to attract LGBTQ+ fans, when she shared an intimate scene with other women in the music video for Lost Cause.
At the time, she hadn’t publicly identified as part of the LGBTQ community.
However, in November 2023, however, she revealed to Variety that she is attracted to women.
She later accused the outlet of ‘outing’ her.
To address the ongoing speculation about her sexual orientation, she posted on Instagram, ‘I’m attracted to both males and females. Could you all just respect my privacy on this matter?’ She also added, ‘Frankly, who cares.’
In an interview with Rolling Stone in April, Billie doubled-down.
In the article, it was stated that she had spent her entire life feeling affectionate towards women, but it wasn’t until last year that she finally recognized – for herself – that she desired to be intimately connected with a woman.

She expressed that some individuals may not fully understand or feel at ease with their sexuality until later in life, sometimes even in their forties, fifties, or sixties. She emphasized that it’s important to take time to discover oneself, and she believes it’s unfortunate when social media pressure forces people to prematurely disclose personal aspects of their identity.
