BGMI is joining the cricket craze with exciting new partnerships! KRAFTON India has teamed up with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), bringing the popular Indian Premier League (IPL) teams – five-time champions CSK and three-time champions KKR – into the game with the upcoming BGMI 4.3 update.

BGMI x KKR collab is bringing themed in-game items with Photo Booths

The latest PUBG Mobile 4.3 update includes a new Evolving Universe mode, a Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration, and events celebrating the game’s 8th anniversary. BGMI, the Indian version of the game, is now bringing similar exciting content to players in India.

Through this partnership, players can earn and use special Kolkata Knight Riders items within the game. The main outfit available will be the Knight Dominion Set, and players will also have a chance to unlock an Eden Charge Buggy vehicle skin.

Okay, so the new CSK stuff is dropping in-game, and it looks awesome! You can snag the Thala Legacy Set – it’s a full outfit – and they’re also letting you deck out your ride with the Thala Monster Truck skin. I’m definitely trying to unlock those!

Okay, so they’re adding some fun stuff to the game! I’m really excited about the new Photo Booths they’re putting in certain spots on the maps. Apparently, if I’m playing on Erangel or Livik during the CSK and KKR matches, I’ll be able to find these Photo Booth Points of Interest and snap some cool pics.

Seddharth Merrotra, KRAFTON India’s Head of Business Development and Partnerships, explained that their collaboration with the Knight Riders goes beyond just adding cosmetic items to the game. He said it truly integrates the team into the in-game experience during matches, and that’s the level of immersion they aim for with all future sports partnerships in BGMI.

Chennai Super Kings is known for its incredibly loyal cricket fans, and BGMI boasts a highly active gaming community in India. When we decided to connect these two groups, it was important that the collaboration felt authentic and resonated with both. We didn’t want a simple visual connection; we wanted players to truly express their team spirit within the game itself.”

BGMI previously partnered with the Mumbai Indians, a five-time IPL champion. It’s a clever collaboration overall – with the IPL season starting soon and cricket being incredibly popular in India, linking it with BGMI, one of the country’s leading mobile games, benefits both brands and boosts their visibility.

The big 4.3 update is coming on March 19, 2026, and will be followed by special collaborations with CSK on March 21st and KKR on March 25th. This update also introduces the new Evolving Universe mode, featuring improvements like Energy Shields and Vehicle Nitrous Boosts.
