The Indian esports community is mourning the loss of Wizzy, a popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player. She was well-known for competing in many BGMI tournaments, and her passing is a tragic loss.
According to TalkEsports and information shared within the gaming community, she died by suicide. This tragic event happened only a week after she reportedly became engaged to Superboi, a player for Dragon Esports.
The Myth Hawks player had competed in BMPS 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series
Wizzy, also known as Saniya Nigam, was a well-known player in the competitive BGMI scene. She participated in major tournaments like the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 and the BGMI Challenger Series.
The Challenger Series is a qualifying tournament for the BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) 2025, a major BGMI esports competition. During the event, Wizzy also talked about her first time competing in a LAN environment and how she plans to improve her skills with more experience.
While this is definitely disturbing news for all the fans following her content and life, some sources confirm that the esports player posted a video on social media saying “everything is over,” which was quickly deleted.
This news follows the recent death of Tahir ‘TahirFuego’ Mukhtar, a former professional Free Fire esports player and content creator. He passed away on January 31, 2026, reportedly due to self-harm.
Hearing about Wizzy’s passing really hit hard. It’s a stark reminder that we, as gamers and competitors, need to prioritize mental health and make sure there’s solid support in place for everyone. It’s easy to get caught up in the game, but taking care of ourselves and each other is way more important.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Wizzy. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. It’s a really tough time, and it’s a reminder that if you or anyone you know is going through a hard time with their mental health, please reach out for help. Talking to someone you trust or a professional can make a huge difference.
