Bethesda asked Oblivion Remastered fans for “suggestions and feedback,” and boy did it get some – from “a special flesh sculptor” and better dungeons, to making the RPG more “like Skyrim”
At last, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has arrived, marking a cherished comeback to the renowned 2006 RPG masterpiece by Bethesda Game Studios. However, it appears that some enthusiasts are still preoccupied with Skyrim.
Just a handful of days have passed since the official release of Oblivion Remastered, after much anticipation fueled by rumors and leaks. However, Bethesda has promptly set up a platform on their Discord server for enthusiasts to share their “ideas and opinions.
It’s not surprising that their proposals span a wide spectrum, including reasonable requests for in-game character customization as well as straightforward wishes for the remake to resemble the gameplay style of Skyrim.
One supporter mentions they’d appreciate additional spell types resembling Skyrim’s, while another user requests a user interface adjustment for a layout similar to that in Skyrim. Additionally, a player voices their desire to explore a more enhanced combat system akin to Skyrim, understanding this might not satisfy purists.
Many players are asking for romantic storylines similar to those found in Skyrim, and numerous others are requesting a label or marker on the map to identify finished dungeons, reminiscent of Skyrim’s system.
Many individuals express their desire for a character customization feature similar to what Skyrim offers. One person put it this way: “All I need is a simple barber, or perhaps a unique sculptor for the flesh, like in Skyrim!
Oh, it seems we all underestimated the magic of Skyrim! The irony lies in its release, when many discussions revolved around missing systems and features from Oblivion – aspects that players of Oblivion Remastered eagerly welcomed back, as if reconnecting with an old friend. Yet, there’s no doubting that Skyrim carries a more contemporary charm.
