Best Bounties In Avowed

Summary

  • Avowed features tough bounty enemies like Octav The Firebrand, Belderreno, and The Trantons with unique drops and rewards.
  • You can encounter challenging foes like Koda And Dario and Mater Mare, facing chaos and multiple enemies in the Living Lands.
  • Prepare for a chaotic battle against the ogre duo Congasar and Crusta, with reanimated skeletons and strategic combat.

In this game, titled “Avowed,” you assume the role of a powerful being known as the Envoy, who is chosen for a crucial mission: liberating the Realm of Life from the Dreamscourge. Throughout your journey, you’ll meet numerous characters and face challenging decisions. Notably, in each of the game’s four distinct environments, you can find a bulletin board offering various tasks to undertake.

Labeled as “bounties,” these formidable foes can be found scattered across the Living Lands. Upon completion, you’ll receive a substantial reward. However, not all bounties offer the same level of difficulty; thus, here are the most challenging bounties in Avowed.

6.

Octav The Firebrand

Biome: Dawnshore

Drops
  • Octav’s Adra Tooth
  • Sheathed in Summer +1
Rewards
  • 500 Skeyt
  • 59 XP

In the challenging territory of Dawnshore, neighboring the Yellowbands, resides Octav the Firebrand, who established his base in the Godless Ruins within the Overgrown Frontier. As the head of a formidable bandit gang, you’ll encounter not just Octav’s rapid slashes with his lightning-quick dagger, but also an unending horde of his accomplices.

When dealing with Octav, having Kai and Marius by your side makes the encounter easier. Yet, overcoming Octav and his ragtag group can be rewarding since he drops a special, single-handed weapon named Sheathed in Summer that inflicts fire damage on enemies.

5.

Belderreno

Biome: Emerald Stair

Drops Gleaming Core
Rewards
  • 750 Skeyts
  • 106 XP

West of Felipe’s Depression lies the expansive soil corruption known as Belderreno. This colossal earth affliction is particularly brutal, dishing out hefty assaults. Yet, it isn’t alone; other adversaries stationed there also unleash powerful attacks. These range from a Skeletal Barbarian brandishing a greatsword to a Decaying Skeleton Wizard who hurls icy projectiles like missiles.

In your forthcoming battles against soil corruption, you’ll notice a peculiar trait among these foes: they reproduce when destroyed. Once Belderreno is vanquished, two smaller soil corruptions instantly appear, and while they may seem insignificant, their sudden emergence can certainly catch one off guard.

4.

The Trantons

Biome: Emerald Stair

Drops
  • Tranton Signet Ring
  • Tranton Family Brigandine
  • Tranton Family Greaves
  • Tranton Family Gauntlets
  • Tranton Family Talisman
Rewards
  • 750 Skeyt
  • 319 XP

A rowdy, disorganized gang known as the Trantons can be spotted southwest of the Ranger Outpost within the Wildwoods. They might not pose much trouble, but what makes them intriguing is their connection to a crucial side mission that intertwines with the primary plotline.

After defeating the Trantons, you’ll come across Ranger Verano, who is imprisoned in a cage. Engaging him initiates the side quest Steel Resolve and guides you towards the Ranger Outpost. What you may not anticipate from dealing with the Trantons is that it will eventually reveal a mole within the rangers, and this revelation will significantly impact the future of Fior mes Iverno.

3.

Koda And Dario

Biome: Shatterscarp

Drops Sack of Jewelled Eggs 2x
Rewards
  • 1,200 Skeyts
  • 257 XP

Different from other treasures you’ll discover on your expedition across the Living Lands, this one doesn’t immediately display hostility. Situated in a Godless ruin to the north of the Sand Sea Ruins, thieves Koda and Dario can be found squabbling in the open, seemingly oblivious to the fact they’re openly discussing their illicit activities in front of the Envoy.

As I patiently wait for my gaming partners to settle their disagreements, I seize the moment to strike. To my surprise, these characters prove to be quite formidable foes. Even without summoning skeletons or beetles to aid them, slaying one seems to invigorate the other, amplifying its attack power and speed.

2.

Mater Mare

Biome: Galawain’s Tusks

Drops Matriarch’s Horn
Rewards
  • 1,800 Skeyts
  • 417 XP

As an avid explorer, if you haven’t ventured to Solace Keep and choose to delve deeper into its mysteries, there’s a chance you might unwittingly discover the Writhing Ruins. Within these ancient walls lies a vast cavern, the centerpiece of which is a colossal skull. At first glance, it appears tranquil and serene, but once you dare to take the Ancient Arrowhead treasure map from the skeleton’s grasp, the peace is shattered. The very air seems to crackle with energy, and before your eyes, Mater Mare (also known as the Beetle Matriarch) manifests herself.

Mater Mare may not pose a significant challenge on her own, but it’s the swarm of beetles that join her that makes the situation tough. From Stone Beetles to Queen Adra Beetles, the battlefield turns into a frenzy as you struggle under the weight of numerous opponents. You’ll find yourself frantically wielding your weapon or casting spells, and you’ll likely be pressing the dodge button constantly.

1.

Congasar And Crusta

Biome: Galawain’s Tusks

Drops Half-Moon Bracelet 2x
Rewards
  • 1,800 Skeyt
  • 417 XP

In contrast, the battle against Mater Mare was challenging, but the ogre pair Congasar and Crusta took things to a whole new level of turmoil. Not only do you have to confront two heavily fortified opponents, but before long, an army of resurrected skeletons jumps into the fray as well.

In the battle at hand, it’s wise to focus on eliminating the skeletal clerics initially. They possess the ability to heal their comrades and could undo all your hard work against the ogre leaders. Be mindful of the ogres’ powerful blows and watch out for archers and soldiers armed with shields too. In this encounter, having Giatta by your side is essential.
