Ben Affleck was seen out alone after giving his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, his share of their $61 million former home.
Friday night, the 53-year-old actor was spotted pulling into a Los Angeles parking lot and going inside a theater, likely to see one of his children perform in a play.
He has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, who is 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14. Jennifer recently turned 54 and celebrated with her kids.
He put on a casual display and bundled up in layers for his solo outing after the sun went down.
For the casual event, he dressed in a comfortable outfit consisting of a navy blue bomber jacket, a coordinating quarter-zip sweater, and a white t-shirt.
He arrived quietly, wearing jeans, sneakers, and carrying a backpack.
This news follows reports that he transferred ownership of their multi-million dollar home to Lopez two years following their split.
Their divorce was finalized in January 2025, less than five months after she filed in the summer of 2024. They cited differences that couldn’t be resolved as the reason.
Since July 2024, the couple has been attempting to sell their large Beverly Hills property. Now, Affleck has decided to give his ex-wife full ownership of his share.
The Daily Mail has obtained legal documents showing the ex-couple secretly changed the agreement about how their property was divided after their divorce was finalized in January 2025.
On April 9, they added a ‘stipulation and order’ to modify specific terms of their estate.
The revised agreement clarifies that Lopez will be fully responsible for covering all costs related to any future sale of her share of the Wallingford Residence. This includes things like realtor fees, taxes, and closing expenses.
They also mentioned that ownership of the property will be transferred eventually, but they haven’t said when they plan to put their old house back on the market.
Lopez signed the agreement on March 31st, and Affleck signed it the following day, April 1st. This suggests Affleck may have given up his ownership in the property.
According to sources at TMZ, the actor essentially let Jennifer Lopez have his portion of the property without asking for any money from a potential sale.
The large Beverly Crest property, featuring 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms, was removed from the market on January 26th.
The Daily Mail published photos showing four large moving trucks at the property, but it wasn’t clear what was happening there.
The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Affleck and Lopez for comment.
The house initially went on the market for $68 million, which was about $8 million more than the owners had originally paid for it.
According to a source who spoke with the Daily Mail, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have reduced the price of their Beverly Hills home by $8 million, but this loss isn’t a big deal for Ben.
According to a source, he’s eager to sell the property to fully separate his life from Jennifer’s.
Even though it was difficult to sell the house they shared during their marriage, both celebrities have bought new homes since their separation.
In August 2024, Ben Affleck purchased a $20 million home in Pacific Palisades, located close to where Jennifer Garner lives.
After her divorce was finalized, Jennifer Lopez purchased a $21 million house in Calabasas in February.
Despite purchasing a new home, Jennifer Lopez reportedly continued to live in her Beverly Hills mansion while it was being renovated.
