Becky G reprises headline tour Casa Gomez: Otro Capitulo
As a long-time fan of Becky G, I can hardly contain my excitement for her upcoming Casa Gomez: Otro Capitulo Tour! Ever since her breakout days at 14, she has been a powerhouse in the music industry, seamlessly transitioning from mainstream English pop to dominating the Latin music market. Her unique blend of musica Mexicana in her latest album, “Esquinas,” is a testament to her roots and the rich cultural heritage that she holds dear.
Approximately a year following the completion of her initial solo concert tour, Becky G prepares for another journey on stage with the Casa Gomez: Another Chapter Tour.
On Tuesday, I shared some exciting news on Instagram, straight from a Mexican-American singer. In the post, I uploaded a video snippet from a past performance, where I’m proudly holding my bedazzled microphone. In the caption, I expressed my eagerness to sing, laugh, dance, and even cry with you all soon… it was tough keeping this secret bottled up!
The Casa Gomez: Another Chapter Tour is a 14-stop journey across the United States. This musical adventure begins on October 11 at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom and concludes on November 17 at San Diego’s Gallagher Square, Petco Park. Notably, this tour will visit predominantly Mexican American communities. The five-time Latin Grammy nominee is scheduled to perform in Atlanta, Phoenix, and no less than five cities in Texas, as announced by the official tour statement.
At the moment, there isn’t a scheduled show in Los Angeles. However, the nearest concert to Los Angeles County is happening at the Toyota Arena in Ontario on November 16th. Previously, her Mi Casa Su Casa tour managed to sell out three shows at The Novo.
At a Becky G concert last October, Chris Peralta expressed that everyone’s family seemed to be there. He mentioned that Becky G felt like a close friend or sibling to him, and he admired this connection.
I’m thrilled about the upcoming tour that will carry on the momentum for my 27-year-old album, “Esquinas,” which was released in 2023. This is my initial foray into musica Mexicana, a genre I grew up cherishing. Collaborating with notables from this subgenre like Ivan Cornejo, Peso Pluma, and Dannylux, I proudly honor my family’s heritage in this project.
Born in Inglewood, this entertainer made her industry debut at just 14 years old. Initially, she concentrated on producing mainstream English pop tunes, such as “Shower” and “Becky From the Block.” However, as the years passed, she solidified her presence within the Latin music sector. One of her most successful songs, “Mamiii,” featuring Karol G, has amassed close to a billion streams on Spotify.
“In an interview with The Times in 2022, she expressed that Spanish music provided her the motivation to discover my unique identity within this field as a young woman. It’s fascinating to consider how researchers in psychology might explore the effects on us, who grew up straddling two cultures, striving to fit into both worlds.”
House Gomez: Tickets for another chapter will be available for purchase towards the end of this week, with an artist pre-sale set for Wednesday and a public sale scheduled for Friday.
