The BBC has cancelled three popular shows to save money. They said making these decisions was very difficult.
The popular game show Blankety Blank, recently brought back with host Bradley Walsh, has been cancelled. It won’t be returning for future seasons alongside Celebrity Mastermind and Live at the Apollo. However, both Celebrity Mastermind and Live at the Apollo will air one final season before ending their runs.

As part of new Director-General Matt Brittin’s plans, the BBC is cutting jobs, starting with an initial 550 roles, including 200 in news. The BBC anticipates a total of 1,800 to 2,000 jobs will be eliminated overall.
News organizations are facing cuts that have drawn sharp criticism from unions. The National Union of Journalists has asked the government to step in immediately, stating the cuts will severely impact both the public and local communities.
