Nadiya Bychkova shared a bikini photo on Instagram this Sunday, seemingly reflecting on her recent departure from the professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing.
The 36-year-old Ukrainian dancer, known for her nine seasons on the popular ballroom show, shared a stunning video of herself enjoying a vacation in Slovenia, where she was seen diving into a pool.
Nadiya hinted at both her departure from the BBC and her new career path with a simple message: ‘Sometimes you just have to jump’.
She shared a beautiful, sunny selfie from lunch, writing that even though she only spent less than 48 hours in Slovenia, it was enough to make her incredibly happy.
Viewers of the BBC have been surprised to see several popular dancers – Nadiya, Karen Hauer (43), Michelle Tsiakkas (30), Luba Mushtuk (36), and Gorka Marquez (35) – eliminated in recent weeks.
BBC executives are still looking for new presenters, and time is running out with the twenty-fourth season scheduled to begin in just five months.
Usually around now, we’d be hearing rumors about which celebrities are competing on the show. But this year, all the attention is on who will replace Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, who left the show last year.
I’ve been a huge fan of the show for years, and I was really sad to hear Tess and Claudia were leaving back in October after 21 amazing years! It’s been six months now, and honestly, I’m still waiting to find out who’s going to be hosting it next. It’s a bit frustrating not knowing!
This week, nine stars will compete in a series of auditions to showcase their talents.
Following weeks of rumors and several well-known performers declining the offer, nine finalists have been called to a secret London location. They will perform complete dress rehearsals, judged by a panel and accompanied by a live band, all in an effort to revive the struggling show.
Starting Monday, BBC executives will be secretly auditioning celebrities and testing their on-screen chemistry. They’ve also made the stars sign non-disclosure agreements to prevent any details about the tryouts from being leaked.
According to a source, the show isn’t just about delivering lines from a teleprompter. Producers are also evaluating how well the contestants collaborate and whether they’re funny, meaning anything could happen.
Oh my gosh, they’re really watching the finalists now! It’s like, every move they make is being scrutinized, and the bosses are so close to picking the winner. I’m on the edge of my seat, seriously! I just need to know who it will be!
Rylan Clark, Emma Willis, Tom Allen, Angela Scanlon (who hosts a podcast), and Alex Jones (presenter on The One Show) are all confirmed to be returning for callbacks.
Joining the judging panel are familiar faces from television and radio, including Alison Hammond from This Morning, Bradley Walsh of The Chase, drag artist La Voix from RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Radio 2 presenter Zoe Ball.
According to a source, the producers are prioritizing contestants who have immediate chemistry and can create exciting energy during live broadcasts this year.
The show could continue with its current two female hosts, as that format has been very successful. However, producers are also considering other options and are open to changing things up.
Rylan and Tom Allen would make a really funny duo. They might even add another host to keep things fresh and interesting.
Bosses are believed to be testing a range of combinations and nothing is off the table.
Daily Mail have contacted the BBC representatives for comment.
