Totem Shrine Explained:

As you initially meet the Totem Shine within the game Avowed, you’ll spot that there are four minor platforms designed for holding items. These platforms serve as homes for totems, which are small objects connected to one of the four principal deities of the Living Lands. Each area in the Living Lands emphasizes one of these gods, with Dawnshore specifically honoring Woedica.

In each area, the seven components of a totem are scattered. Dawnshore holds the seven fragments of Woedica’s Scales. The objective is to gather every fragment and reassemble the totem in its original state. You can discover pieces of the totem during exploration, but you cannot start placing them at the Totem Altar until you find the Totem Foundation.

In the game Avowed, having the Totem Base means that you are now able to go back to your camp and set it up at the shrine.

It’s possible that you might be curious about whether there are advantages to crafting each totem. Once you’ve gathered the Totem Base, make your way back to the Party Camp. Now, you can set up the Totem Base at the Totem Shrine.

Instead of personally searching for the “Scales of the Oathbinder,” you have the option to acquire a helpful item that reveals the locations of each scale piece. To get this item, make your way to Sanza’s Emporium in upper Paradis. There, he offers the “Fragments of the Scales” for 500 Suoles.
