Avowed Reportedly Delayed Until 2025 to Avoid a ‘Busy’ November on Xbox Game Pass
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my gaming belt, I must confess, the delay of Obsidian’s Avowed has left me both crestfallen and intrigued. My life, much like a well-crafted RPG, is peppered with anticipation for upcoming titles, and this one was no exception.
It appears that the debut of Obsidian’s first-person fantasy RPG, Avowed, hasn’t been set yet, but according to reports, it might be moved to 2025 to avoid a congested timeframe on Xbox Game Pass. This is an effort to bypass a particularly busy period.
From what we know, the only confirmed date for Avowed that was accidentally disclosed on a developer blog post in June is the 12th of November. However, according to Tom Warren from The Verge, Avowed is progressing well, which suggests that any delay in its release is due to Microsoft intentionally providing more space for the game during a busy time for Game Pass, allowing it to breathe and thrive.
Thus far, the upcoming period features the anticipated releases of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with its novel blimps and the slightly postponed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, which we expect won’t include blimps. Although it may not seem overly busy, the game Avowed is slated to debut alongside Assassin’s Creed Shadows and possibly Dragon Age: The Veilguard, making a strong case for delaying the game until 2025.
Keep in mind that for now, there’s no definitive release date for Avowed. Officially, it remains unscheduled. So, stay tuned for updates!
