I’m truly grateful for your presence within our extraordinary community. Your backing is priceless to us, and we can hardly contain our enthusiasm as we prepare to unveil the upcoming developments for Avowed.
In addition to today’s 1.4 release, we’re excited to reveal our strategic plan! This fresh visual offers a sneak peek at some of the content and enhancements expected in the upcoming phases of Avowed. Moreover, we want to express our gratitude to our players based in Korea, Japan, and French-speaking areas. We understand the significance of playing a game in your native language, and we are diligently working on localized versions for Korean and Japanese, as well as continuous upgrades for French. Now, onto what’s available today…
Arachnophobia Mode Now Available!
Listeners within our community have made their preferences clear, and we’ve responded! The latest addition to Avowed is our new Arachnophobia Mode, now available for use. This optional setting transforms spider adversaries into round, floating orbs that maintain their formidable power, but offer a less unsettling appearance. You can activate this feature within the Accessibility settings. Do keep in mind: while they may appear more inviting, these orbs retain their lethal sting.
Community Highlights – Update 1.4
With this latest update, you’ll find numerous enhancements designed to elevate your overall user experience. Many of these changes were prompted by the valuable insights you’ve shared with us.
Map Exploration Enhancements
Once most of a map’s accessible areas are explored, the fog of war will now fully clear.
Navigating into a city marked on your off-road chart (such as Northern Paradis in Dawnshore) will now unveil that specific section of the map.
Increased radius for fog clearing as you explore.
Critter Loot Drops
Critters can now be defeated—and may drop loot!
New Party Camp Feature
Players can now wait at the Party Camp to advance time.
Improved Soul Pod Functionality
Soul Pods now dispel illusions (except for Ryngrim’s entrance, which still requires Yatzli’s help).
New Settings Options
Chests now optionally appear on the minimap.
Power attacks with the Bow and Arquebus can now be canceled with a new setting.
…and that barely touches the tip of the iceberg – there’s a lot more packed into this update! If you want a detailed rundown of all the features in version 1.4, don’t forget to visit the forums and check out the comprehensive patch notes.
