Avowed: Galawain’s Tusks Cartographer Location For Mapping The Living Lands
In my gaming adventure within the realm of Avowed, I’ve finally reached the blazing expanse of Galawain’s Tusks – the last leg of the Mapping the Living Lands quest. Somewhere deep in this fiery wilderness, Sanza’s last cartographer is lost and it falls upon me to track them down.
Unlike the cold, lifeless maps I’ve been dealing with earlier in my journey, this cartographer is very much alive. As I delve deeper into Galawain’s Tusks, I find myself faced with a crucial decision: their fate lies within my hands.
To find out where the Cartographer for Galawain’s Tusks is situated within Avowed, and learn how to ultimately map the Living Lands, follow the guide provided below.
Galawain’s Tusks Cartographer location in Avowed
In Galawain’s Tusks, the cartographer is almost as far removed from the starting point in the region as possible. You’ll need to journey northward to Solace Keep, then locate a prison tower known as “Soreena’s Mercy.” This tower stands to the northwest of Solace Keep.
In the game Avowed, you’re not required to venture into Solace Keep or finish extra story missions to locate the cartographer. Even skipping the Mapping the Living Lands quest on your journey won’t hinder you from finding this character. So, feel free to go directly there and meet the cartographer without any complications.
Inside Soreena’s compound, make your way in and climb up a single set of stairs. Towards the farthest end of the prison block, you’ll notice an NPC stationed outside a cell. There’s a character named Renato within that particular cell, whom you can converse with through the bars.
In simpler terms, Renato, who is Sanza’s lost mapmaker, was apprehended by the guards at Solace Keep for taking supplies to survive while carrying out Sanza’s task. As you converse with him, you have the power to decide his future. You can either persuade the guard to let Renato go, which isn’t challenging, or threaten to take his map and abandon him in the cell for his actions. Alternatively, you could choose to engage in combat with the guard and liberate Renato yourself, but this is unnecessary unless your character leans towards aggression.
As a devoted player, I find myself in a unique situation: whether I decide to release Renato or keep him imprisoned, he will ultimately part with his cartography map. If I were to seize his map and maintain his confinement within the cell, the end result remains unchanged. You see, by retrieving the map and returning it to Sanza in Paradis, you can complete the Mapping the Living Lands quest – the final installment of this series in Avowed. If you’ve successfully completed the other three regions, then congratulations! You have officially wrapped up this entire questline.
