Avowed – Dead Man’s Mail Treasure Map Location

In Avowed, you’ll discover three hidden treasure maps in every region, and if you manage to locate their shown spots, they’ll guide you to exclusive rewards. For instance, in Shatterscarp, you can uncover the Dead Man’s Mail treasure map within the Great Sand Sea. Look for a small camp nestled beneath the ‘S’ on your map that labels the Sea. Upon arrival, you’ll notice one of the tents is open with a skeleton inside. Search the skeleton to retrieve the treasure map, which will direct you to venture further north from that location. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll require three lock picks to unlock the chest holding the treasure when you eventually find it.

Where to find the Dead Man’s Mail treasure

Using your map, make your way swiftly to the quick travel spot near Tago’s Tower Beacon in Shark’s Teeth. Then proceed towards the northern ruins, where a collapsed column will help you ascend onto those very ruins. Venture towards the eastern side of the ruins and discover a quaint campsite there, with a treasure chest nestled against the crumbling structures. Employ your lock picks to unlock the chest and retrieve the Necropants within, thus completing the quest.

In the game Avowed, the Necropants are an exceptional armor item, ranking highest in quality. They offer two extraordinary passive abilities. One of these abilities can be enhanced at the enchantment table while in camp. The first is Spectral Slave, which conjures a spectral combat ally to aid you. The second is Poison-Proofed, offering 30% protection against poison accumulation. If you decide not to use the armor, it can also be dismantled for materials.
