A new report about the twist in Avengers: Doomsday will “leave your jaw on the floor.”
Everyone is eagerly awaiting the new Avengers movie, and because it’s such a crucial part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, spoilers and rumors are spreading quickly. Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus reports that fans have already guessed much of the first two-thirds of the film. However, a major surprise at the end of the second act remains unknown and will significantly alter the story.
What major Avengers: Doomsday twist was teased?
Perez noted that audiences generally understand the first two parts of the film. However, the third act is proving divisive, and he hopes details remain secret. He explained that the end of the second act feels like a natural conclusion, but then a surprising twist reveals there’s still a significant portion of the movie to come, promising a shocking reveal.
A source claiming to be familiar with the situation, MyTimeToShineHello, reports that Marvel recently showed an early cut of Avengers: Doomsday to Kevin Feige and other Marvel employees. The screening apparently went very well, with some attendees calling it the best Marvel movie so far.
Avengers: Doomsday will bring together Earth’s mightiest heroes – including the Avengers, New Avengers, Wakandans, and Fantastic Four – to battle Doctor Doom. Robert Downey Jr. will portray Doom, who serves as the main villain in both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Fan favorites from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are returning for the new film, including Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Anthony Mackie as Captain America (Sam Wilson), Paul Rudd as Ant-Man (Scott Lang), Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier (Bucky Barnes), Letitia Wright as Black Panther (Shuri), Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Patrick Stewart as Professor X (Charles Xavier), Ian McKellen as Magneto (Erik Lehnsherr), and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
The Russo brothers are directing the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
