Atomfall Was “Immediately Profitable” at Launch, Sequel Plans Being Discussed
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share my excitement about Rebellion, the brilliant minds behind Sniper Elite and Zombie Army, who recently unveiled their fresh new creation – Atomfall. Although launching a new IP always comes with uncertainty, it seems that Rebellion’s latest offering has made a powerful debut. Just weeks after its release, the developer proudly announced that the game, playable via Game Pass on Xbox and PC, had amassed an impressive 2 million players across all platforms. Now, they’ve delved even deeper into the success story of Atomfall.
During an interview with The Game Business, Rebellion CEO Jason Kingsley shared through IGN that their game, Atomfall, was financially successful from the start, even though some players accessed it via Game Pass instead of direct purchases. Kingsley further mentioned that ideas for future installments or spin-offs within the Atomfall universe were under consideration, and they are also continuing to develop post-launch updates and DLC for the game itself.
In our assessment of the game Atomfall, we gave it a rating of 8 out of 10. Our thoughts were that this game crafts an absorbing narrative set in a realm teeming with mystery and quirkiness, while providing a gaming experience marked by robust level design, stimulating exploration, and a notable dedication to player freedom. The game’s visuals are stunningly beautiful, and its eccentricities make it delightful. Rebellion’s post-nuclear dystopia is definitely worth investigating, despite some challenges in the combat and stealth aspects. You can read the complete review by following this link.
Atomfall is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
