Netflix has revealed the first four actors who will be starring in its upcoming live-action Assassin’s Creed series, which is based on the popular video game franchise from Ubisoft. This announcement comes more than five years after Netflix and Ubisoft first announced they were working on the project together.
This thrilling series focuses on a hidden conflict between two powerful groups: one that wants to control humanity’s future, and another fighting to protect our freedom. The story takes place during important moments in history as characters struggle to decide the fate of mankind.
Who is joining the Assassin’s Creed TV show?
Noomi Rapace (known for films like Prometheus and Lamb), Ramzy Bedia, Sean Harris (from Mission: Impossible and The Stranger), and Corrado Invernizzi (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny) will appear in multiple episodes of the upcoming Netflix series based on Assassin’s Creed. Details about the roles they’ll play haven’t been revealed yet.
The cast is growing with new additions joining Lola Petticrew, Toby Wallace, Zachary Hart, Laura Marcus, and Tanzyn Crawford. The series will be led by executive producers Roberto Patino and David Wiener, along with Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin Dill, Genevieve Jones from Ubisoft Film & Television, and Matt O’Toole. There’s been talk that the story could delve into an unexplored era of the franchise, possibly featuring historical characters like Emperor Nero. Filming is planned to begin in Italy in 2026.
The video game series first launched in 2007 and has since sold over 230 million copies globally. This isn’t the first attempt to bring Assassin’s Creed to the screen – a movie starring Michael Fassbender was released in 2016.
