Ariana Madix’s brother Jeremy arrested on marijuana trafficking charges in Florida

Ariana Madix’s younger brother is in trouble with the law and could be facing serious jail time.

On August 13th, Jeremy Madix, a frequent co-star of the 39-year-old Vanderpump Rules star on camera, was taken into custody in Florida and accused of dealing a large quantity of marijuana, which is considered a felony.

The charges against Jeremy are connected to an event in February, where he and another individual named Jonah Ahad were apprehended by the police. This was following the discovery by customs officers of three suitcases, reportedly theirs, filled with over 100 pounds of marijuana, as detailed in court documents obtained by TMZ.

At the time of the occurrence, it seems they had plans to depart from Orlando and head towards Frankfurt, Germany by airplane.

The documents suggest that two suitcases were Jeremy’s, and when combined, they held a total of 64 bags of cannabis, which collectively weighed 76 pounds.

A suspected suitcase belonging to Ahad is reported by authorities to contain 31 packages of cannabis weighing approximately 37 pounds.

Based on records, they chose not to talk to the police officers since no lawyer was available at the time. Consequently, they were freed.

Ahad was arrested in May.

Both face charges of felony trafficking in cannabis.

Under Florida’s legal system, they could spend anywhere from three to 30 years in prison and be fined up to $25,000 if found guilty.

It’s unclear if Ariana will be standing behind her brother as he faces this serious legal battle.

In March, Jeremy admitted that he hadn’t communicated with his well-known sister for several months due to dissatisfaction over how she behaved towards his partner, Rachel, and because of a series of incidents in 2011 where he was arrested for breaching a restraining order issued by his ex-girlfriend.

He shared that the latest conversation took place in December 2023, as he sent a text expressing his feelings, saying, “I adore you immensely. I’m eager to chat with you soon.”

Jeremy noted that Ariana, currently performing in Chicago on Broadway, didn’t acknowledge or reply to his message.

He shared with the media that she has often viewed herself as his guardian, and it’s likely they could grow even closer. What he desires, he admitted, is exactly this kind of closeness.
