Having witnessed their highs (their close bond) and lows (the public fallout), I can’t help but feel a sense of relief seeing them make up, much like reuniting with an old friend after a heated argument.

When Chloe Goodman prevented her elder sister Lauryn from attending her eagerly awaited wedding in Portugal in June, both sisters worried their relationship might become irreparable.

The consequences arose due to Lauryn’s choice to reveal her affair with Kyle Walker, an English football player for both England and Manchester City, who turns out to be the father of her daughter, Kinara, born last summer.

However, the Mail now discloses that the sisters have reconciled – surprisingly, due to the controversy surrounding Kyle, which this week led to a lengthy list of Lauryn’s requests from the defender becoming public knowledge.

Allies of the duo mention that Chloe grew progressively worried as she observed Lauryn finding it difficult to handle the stress of the High Court dispute with her former athlete partner.

Once the judge removed the embargo on disclosure, Chloe became aware that her sister’s extravagant wish-list would become public knowledge – such as a £31,000 synthetic sports field for her daughter and maintenance payments equivalent to an annual salary of £350,000 – meaning that Lauryn would face some level of mockery and scrutiny.

One friend expressed worry for Lauryn, saying Chloe started to feel deeply concerned. She feared the ongoing situation was causing harm to Lauryn, prompting her to stay by her side throughout the ordeal. Being aware of Lauryn’s tendency to self-sabotage, Chloe recognized that her sister required assistance in navigating the challenges she faced.

‘Since Lauryn lacks a strong support system, Chloe felt it necessary to begin mending their relationship. Though Lauryn can be challenging, Chloe considers her as her own sister.’

Approximately two weeks ago, Chloe, aged 31, extended a gesture of reconciliation towards Lauryn, who’s famously difficult to budge according to their mutual acquaintances. Lauryn accepted, and she shared with me recently her sense of relief at rekindling her bond with her cherished sister.

On Wednesday, Chloe stood by her sister Lauryn on Instagram, defending her against criticism from Luisa Zissman, a former Apprentice contestant, who had attacked Lauryn and supported Annie Kilner, Kyle’s wife. In a post, Luisa wrote: “I know Kyle cheated, but his wife doesn’t deserve any of this drama. She has maintained her dignity. Those kids were raised for money. It’s a shame!” Chloe responded to defend Lauryn and show her loyalty as a sister.

Chloe replied, “Kindly avoid discussing my niece and nephews as it doesn’t concern your relevance. To clarify, Kyle, Annie, and Lauryn are all accountable, none of them are victims in this situation. The kids are the only ones who are innocent. I have no intention of participating in a blame game with Kyle, Annie, and Lauryn. I simply want to ensure that the children are not involved in this matter.”

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it this way: I was informed that Lauryn admired Chloe’s strong stand. Our lives have always been closely connected as we reside on the same street. My children, Isla, aged four, and Hudson, who is two, share a special bond with Kairo, also four, and Kinara. This close-knit relationship has been fostered by our mother Karen, ensuring that despite any disagreements between us, her grandchildren’s connection remains strong.

Lauryn, aged 33, initially encountered Kyle through Chloe, a past glamour model and Celebrity Big Brother contestant. In fact, Chloe was among the initial individuals Lauryn confided in when she found herself pregnant with Kyle’s children, Kairo and later Kinara.

When Grant Hall, Chloe’s footballer husband, popped the question, one of the first things Chloe did was ask Lauryn to stand as a bridesmaid at their Algarve wedding. However, as the wedding day approached, Lauryn revealed Kinara’s father’s name to Annie Kilner, despite Chloe asking her not to do so until after the ceremony. As the news spread like wildfire, Chloe found herself facing the toughest decision of her life.

Last month, I shared with the Mail my heartbreaking predicament: ‘As I was meticulously arranging the climactic moments of my wedding, a whirlwind of chaos involving Lauryn erupted. Faced with such turmoil, I had to make a tough call. A decision that would ultimately decide Lauryn’s attendance. The last thing I wanted was the ensuing drama, and so, regretfully, Lauryn couldn’t join us.’

Chloe chose reconciliation due to concerns for her wider family, particularly Lauryn and their grandparents. On social media, where Lauryn earns a living as an influencer, she often encounters hostility. A friend explained that Chloe worries about the potential harm such negativity could inflict on Lauryn.

I can relate to Chloe’s concerns, having experienced similar anxieties myself. It’s not just about her personal well-being, but the safety and dignity of her loved ones that she is worried about.
