Apple TV’s ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 4 Gets an Official Release Date: Watch the Teaser Here

Summary

  • Apple TV has confirmed a Wednesday premiere for the fourth season featuring a weekly rollout through early October
  • The production welcomes Emmy winner Jack Burditt as executive producer under a new overall deal with the streaming platform
  • The narrative specs pivot to Ted Lasso coaching a second-division women’s football team back in Richmond

Apple TV+ and Jason Sudeikis have revealed when season four of the hit show Ted Lasso will premiere, along with a short sneak peek. The new season, which has won multiple Emmy Awards, will kick off Apple TV+’s late-summer TV lineup and will feature a fresh challenge for the AFC Richmond team.

Okay, so the new season is a total shake-up! Instead of following the guys, Ted Lasso is now coaching a women’s football team in a lower league – a really cool change of pace. They’ve added seven new faces to the cast, including Tanya Reynolds, Rex Hayes, and Grant Feely, but thankfully, all our favorites like Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Juno Temple are still around. And the writing team is mostly the same award-winning crew, with Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt still leading the charge, plus Dylan Marron helping out with the story.

Season four will premiere globally on Wednesday, August 5th with one episode, and new episodes will be released every Wednesday until the season finale on October 7th. This season also features a change behind the scenes, with Emmy-winning producer Jack Burditt joining the team as an executive producer thanks to a new agreement with Apple TV+. He’ll be working alongside established executive producers Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence (through Doozer Productions), and Joe Kelly.

Watch the teaser above. Ted Lasso Season 4 premieres August 5 on Apple TV.
