Apple TV+’s Crime Thriller ‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Season 2 Is Out Now and Trending on Streaming

The second season of the popular crime thriller on Apple TV+ is already gaining traction with viewers. While Apple TV+ has become well-known for sci-fi series like Silo, Severance, Pluribus, and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and the comedy Shrinking, this nine-episode thriller starring Jon Hamm (of Mad Men) debuted in 2025 and quickly became a standout show. Now that season two is here, fans are eager for more episodes.

Season two of Your Friends & Neighbors launched on Apple TV+ on April 3rd and has quickly become popular. In the US, it’s already the third most-watched series on the platform this week, behind Shrinking which remains at number one and the new thriller, Imperfect Women. However, the show is even more of a hit internationally, currently ranking as the most popular series on Apple TV+ worldwide.

Jonathan Tropper created the series Banshee. It stars Jon Hamm as Coop, a high-powered banker who loses his job and decides to keep up his expensive lifestyle by stealing from the wealthy people in his community. However, he quickly learns that robbing the rich isn’t as simple as it seems. The cast also includes Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, and Lena Hall.

‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Is Apple’s Version of ‘Breaking Bad’ (Kind Of)

Okay, so I was really into Your Friends & Neighbors when it came out in 2025. Critics gave it pretty good marks – around 79% on Rotten Tomatoes – but honestly, people loved it. It hit 82% with viewers on RT and was number one on Apple TV+ while it was airing. Now, Season 2 is just getting started, and it’s already doing even better! It doesn’t have enough ratings on IMDb yet to get a proper score, but critics are even more into it this time around, giving it an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes. They’re calling it a clever and funny take on the ‘breaking bad’ trope, with Jon Hamm being totally captivating, even if the social commentary isn’t always perfect. Basically, it’s super watchable!

While the new series focuses on stealing expensive items instead of drug dealing, the core relationships between the characters and their personal struggles are still central to the story. Similar to how Walt battled his dark side as Heisenberg, the main character, Coop, quickly develops a compulsion to steal, becoming fascinated with the act itself and the thrill of almost getting caught.

‘Your Friends & Neighbors’ Isn’t Going Away Anytime Soon

Apple TV+ is already renewing Your Friends & Neighbors for a third season, demonstrating strong confidence in the show’s success. While details about Season 3 haven’t been revealed yet, and a release date is still to come, new episodes of Season 2 are currently being released weekly on Fridays. The ten-episode season will conclude on June 5th.
