The Testaments episode 7 spoilers follow.
The newest installment of The Testaments, the series continuing the story of The Handmaid’s Tale, featured another unexpected character, continuing the show’s trend of surprise appearances like the one from Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne.
In episode 7, titled ‘Commitment’, we learn more about Daisy’s (Lucy Halliday) past.

The show brings back Amanda Brugel as Rita Blue, a key figure in the fight against Gilead.
In flashbacks, Daisy approaches Rita and requests permission to go undercover with Mayday. Rita is hesitant at first, but Daisy eventually persuades her to agree.
What to Read Next
Rita believes Daisy is overly confident and doesn’t fully understand how difficult and risky her plan is. She scolds Daisy before agreeing to help her get ready for her secret assignment.
Her predictions come true as the story returns to the present, revealing that Gilead has found Daisy’s radio.

She narrowly escaped punishment when the guards took another Pearl Girl instead, but it was a frighteningly close call.
Will it open up Daisy’s eyes to be more careful, or is a sign that Gilead are closing in?
Elisabeth Moss has appeared in two episodes of the show so far, and it’s currently unclear if she’ll be in any of the final three.
Bruce Miller, the showrunner for The Testaments, recently shared that June Moss’ appearances on the show depend entirely on her availability.
Lucy Halliday expressed her excitement about working with Elisabeth Moss, saying Moss perfectly captures the essence of The Handmaid’s Tale. Halliday felt honored to share the screen with such a talented actress and was very aware of that privilege.
I realized I kept finding myself watching her,” she said. “During breaks in filming, I’d just sit and observe her, because she completely understands this character and the story’s world.
The Testaments drops new episodes every Wednesday on Hulu in the US and Disney+ in the UK.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a beautifully illustrated 100-page tribute to Sir David Attenborough, is now available! You can purchase it at newsstands or online.
