Hey everyone, I’m excited to share that I’m joining OnlyFans! I see it as a really fun new chapter for me, a way to connect with fans directly and honestly just be myself. I’m looking forward to sharing a more unfiltered side of my life and having a little fun with it!
The actress, 52, became well-known for her role as Nadia, the exchange student, in the 1999 movie American Pie. She recently explained in an interview with People magazine why she decided to join the platform.
Ugh, it’s just… after years in Hollywood, years I tell you, I finally realized it wasn’t my story being told. Everyone else was pulling the strings, deciding what happened to me and my career. It was so frustrating! It felt like I had no control at all.
I’m starting a new phase where I’m embracing a more confident and playful side, and connecting with my fans on a deeper level.
Elizabeth, currently living in South Africa, explained how the platform will help her connect with her fans and audience.
The star explained they’re joining OnlyFans to connect with fans directly, have creative freedom, and express themselves openly, believing it represents the future of content creation.
Her account will officially launch on Thursday, April 16.
Elizabeth Hurley gained widespread attention as a sex symbol in the 1990s and 2000s, largely thanks to her role as Nadia, an exchange student, in the 1999 teen comedy American Pie.
She reprised the role two years later for the sequel American Pie 2 in 2001.
The actress has also starred in films like Scary Movie (2000), Thirteen Ghosts (2001), Love Actually (2003), and Cursed (2005).
Elizabeth has also appeared in several popular TV shows over the years, such as Baywatch, That ’70s Show, and Melissa & Joey, in addition to her work in movies.
The actress recently shared that she was incredibly excited to land her memorable role in American Pie 27 years ago.
I hadn’t taken on a project of that scale before. I was auditioning frequently back then, so I was thrilled when I landed the part, she recently shared with Fox News Digital.
Elizabeth, a model before becoming an actress, said it wasn’t hard to play the character of Nadia.
Having done a lot of modeling, especially photoshoots for lingerie and swimwear, stepping into the character of Nadia felt surprisingly similar – almost like just another day on set.
She explained that she simply embodied the role, focusing on portraying the character as written rather than adding her own interpretations. She wasn’t overthinking it; she was just acting.
Elizabeth further reflected on how she sometimes is not ‘super comfortable in my own skin.’
It’s important to push through those moments and focus on the job. I genuinely enjoy working and acting, so I try to block out everything else and just concentrate on performing.
Her last acting credit was in the 2024 movie Plan B.
Elizabeth is a strong advocate for animal and wildlife protection. She created the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation in 2018 to further this cause.
According to its website, the organization focuses on saving endangered animals, protecting their homes, helping wildlife rangers, and creating long-term conservation strategies.
She started her animal rescue work in 2001 with the creation of Animal Avengers in Los Angeles, an organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats.
She explained to Fox News Digital that she was eager to expand her efforts and help a greater number of animals, and that ultimately, her path led her to South Africa.
Elizabeth shared details about her life in South Africa, where she’s lived for the past ten years since moving there in 2016.
Many people assume that when I say I live in South Africa, I’m living in a remote, rural area, like the countryside or wilderness.
The actress explained that while their filming location is in the wilderness, she’s actually based in Cape Town, which she described as a beautiful city.
‘But I think a lot of people only imagine Africa with lions walking around on every road you go.’
During an appearance at Steel City Con in New York City last year, Elizabeth elaborated that her foundation is working to create a safe haven, according to People magazine.
We’re currently caring for a blind black rhino, and we plan to welcome more rhinos once we’ve completed an expansion of our facilities.
The star added, ‘I started my charity, which was called Animal Avengers at the time.
It’s been running ever since, gradually changing over time from focusing on domestic animals like dogs and cats to broader conservation and wildlife efforts.
