Amanda Holden and her daughter, Lexie Hughes, looked stunning at the afterparty for the new movie, Devil Wears Prada 2, on Wednesday evening.
I was completely captivated when I saw them arrive! The mother and daughter looked absolutely stunning stepping out of the taxi at the National Portrait Gallery. It was such a glamorous event in London, and they fit right in with all the other stars.
Amanda, 55, looked fantastic in a striking black strapless dress, highlighting her figure and sun-kissed tan.
Meanwhile, her lookalike Lexi, 20, wore a red lace see-through evening dress for the outing.
Amanda smoothed out her dress as she and Lexi stepped out of the car and walked towards the next red carpet.
The pair couldn’t stop smiling as they held hands against the backdrop of the iconic building.
The theme was ‘A Night With Runway’ gala reception.
They made their first public appearance together at the European premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, walking the red carpet in Leicester Square, London.
Amanda and her companion posed for photos on the red carpet in the sunshine. Amanda also took some individual pictures, showcasing her figure near the famous red heel.
Okay, so I was just checking Instagram and saw Amanda and Lexi posted some photos from their hotel before hitting the carpet. Seriously, the comments were flooding in! Everyone was saying how amazing they looked – things like ‘stunning!’ and ‘absolutely sensational!’ It’s always fun to see people feeling confident and getting that positive feedback, right?
You both look absolutely gorgeous! It’s wonderful to see you together – you’re both so sweet and I love you both very much.
I’ve been a fan of Amanda for ages – she’s always been my number one style inspiration! And honestly, both these women look absolutely incredible.
Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt were among the biggest stars at the event, and they shared a lot of laughs while posing for photos with Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci.
The film’s stars were seen laughing and talking before taking a lot of photos in front of London’s famous landmarks.
Anne turned heads in a striking black and silver striped dress with a showstopping ruffled train.
She added height with black stilettos and completed her look with a bold silver necklace and simple stud earrings.
Anne smiled beautifully for the cameras, wearing her dark hair in a sleek, high ponytail – the same style she’d worn earlier at the premiere.
Emily ditched her vibrant red trouser co-ord for a sexy black sheer minidress and opaque tights.
The actress showed off her legs in a long-sleeved outfit and looked even taller with a pair of high heels.
Honestly, Meryl Streep was the absolute highlight! She wore this incredible, shimmering purple sequin jacket, and it was such a joy to see her completely break character as Miranda Priestly with this huge, genuine smile. It was a truly magical moment.
The Mamma Mia actress wore fashionable sunglasses and black heels, which made her look taller and more stylish.
Stanley swapped his formal black pinstripe suit for a more relaxed look – a navy blazer and trousers paired with a black tie.
The movie brings Anne back together with Meryl, Emily, and Stanley, and the friends return to the competitive world of fashion, but with a fresh, updated take.
The story hints that Miranda Priestly is struggling with the falling popularity of magazines and newspapers, all while competing with Emily (Blunt), who now holds significant power over important advertising accounts.
The new installment will feature several new actors, such as Justin Theroux, Kenneth Branagh, and Lucy Liu.
The movie was filmed in both New York and Milan, and early sneak peeks have already excited fans.
The film The Devil Wears Prada was a huge success, but it became much more than that – it really entered the cultural zeitgeist. Meryl Streep’s portrayal of Miranda Priestly became instantly famous, and the film inspired countless people to become passionate about fashion, even just quoting her iconic line, ‘That’s all’.
Initial reviews for The Devil Wears Prada 2 are in, and critics are already calling it a must-see, describing it as absolutely phenomenal.
