As a seasoned observer of human behavior and the dance floor, I find myself deeply moved by the events unfolding between Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice. Having spent countless hours immersed in the world of ballroom dancing, I can say with some authority that it takes more than just two left feet to tango through life’s challenges.

After the revelation of the Strictly investigation findings regarding Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice, Jonathan Goodwin has finally spoken up about the matter.

After receiving multiple complaints about his conduct from his previous celebrity dance partner Amanda (age 50), the professional dancer, aged 34, chose to exit the program. Subsequently, he became a part of the cast for the Italian adaptation of Dancing with the Stars, Ballando Con Le Stelle.

Among the 17 accusations made against Mr. Pernice, the BBC validated six, some concerning him employing profanity. The investigation concluded that his choice of words may have been demeaning.

In addition, the BBC concurred with Amanda, noting that there were instances where he seemed excessively critical towards her feedback.

On Wednesday, Joanthan posted a picture on Instagram showing him with Amanda and Princess Anne.

In the caption, he commented: ‘Such a remarkable woman. I’ve never encountered someone as steadfast in fighting for what’s just.’

“Supporting the underprivileged and standing firm against biased media, The Princess Royal is truly remarkable.

In the year 2021, Amanda started dating acrobat-turned-escapist, Jonathan, who was previously a stunt performer. It was rumored that they became engaged in May of the previous year.

After Amanda disclosed that she had organized a gathering of fellow Strictly Come Dancing competitors at her house to share experiences about their treatment on the show, it transpired…

The actress said she and the other stars wept as they spoke of their experiences working with Giovanni.

Additionally, she mentioned that she might take more steps against the BBC, as they offered an apology to her after her grievances concerning Giovanni.

During an interview on Newsnight with Victoria Derbyshire on Wednesday, Amanda shared that while working in the rehearsal space, she felt as if she had “completely detached from the real world.

She mentioned that she socialized with other celebrities who had worked alongside Pernice on the BBC program before.

Revealing she invited the group to her house, Amanda said ‘we all cried, we all burst into tears.

‘We just wanted to make sure that we weren’t on our own and thinking this had just happened to us.’

In every conversation I had, people consistently shared a common sentiment – it wasn’t enjoyable, and it seemed to differ from what others were experiencing in the various rehearsal spaces.

The actress mentioned to Newsnight, upon being questioned about her next steps since the report was released, that she’s relying on her attorney for advice on a daily basis.

In her conversation with Newsnight, the star shared that the experience following collaboration with Giovanni was the toughest she’s faced throughout her entire life.

She expressed that this year has been particularly challenging for her, as she’s faced numerous difficulties, echoing the struggles many women often encounter.

Instead of constantly facing numerous unpleasant occurrences simply because I voiced concerns or complaints, I find myself having to endure an endless series of unwelcome events.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m relieved to finally share some insights about Giovanni’s situation now that the long-awaited verdict has been announced on Monday. While he was found not guilty of the gravest accusations of physical violence, it’s important to acknowledge that he was found culpable for verbal bullying and harassment, aspects of his behavior that need attention and improvement.

Meanwhile, Giovanni said he was ‘pleased’ to be cleared of ‘threatening and abusive behaviour.’

The report detailed that six out of the 17 accusations made by Ms Abbington were substantiated. It was mentioned in the report that Mr Pernice, known for his perfectionism, resorted to swearing and employing language that could be construed as demeaning, behavior which the report classified as bullying.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to express my sincere apologies for any distress caused to the talented actress formerly known for her role in Sherlock. I commend her for courageously voicing her concerns, and I appreciate her efforts in bringing these issues to light.

In a six-month investigation report, which cost more than £250,000 from the license fee payers, investigators discovered that the renowned Italian dance star had employed disrespectful language. On another instance, he stated: “I’m fed up with it, if you wish to appear poorly, I don’t mind.

The panel indeed validated Ms Abbington’s claim that Mr Pernice often became agitated during their dancing lessons. Notably, he expressed to her: “Your talent is immense and yet it remains untapped.

In a different wording, the statements ‘Another time he told her: “I don’t know how to ask you anymore,” and “It has been four days now and I don’t know what to do”, were both perceived as inappropriate behavior.

In another outburst, Mr Pernice, 34, said ‘f*****’ while teaching her how to do a routine.

In the recent allegations, it was confirmed that I, being the Sicilian ballroom star, had indeed expressed dissatisfaction in certain instances. One such incident involved me expressing frustration with an expletive, ‘f***.’ This conduct was brought to light due to my failure to cater adequately to Ms Abbington’s requirements. Consequently, I received a communication from the BBC advising me on the need for improved adaptability.

From the two accusations deemed valid, one involved Mr. Pernice making an inappropriate gesture towards his crotch and uttering a vulgar phrase. Additionally, he expressed a sexual comment to his dance partner, stating that he wanted to have sex with her. This remark was made following Ms. Abbington’s impressive move during practice at the studio, which clearly excited Mr. Pernice.

Although several accusations made by Ms. Abbington were dismissed by the BBC, they have apologized to her. In a statement issued on Monday, they stated: ‘Following our investigation into Amanda Abbington’s grievances against Giovanni Pernice, the BBC has reached its conclusion.’

In our evaluation of the grievances, we found that some were valid, but not all. We would like to express our sincere apologies to Amanda Abbington and extend our gratitude for her courage in bringing these issues to light and participating in the process.

‘We know this would not have been an easy thing to do.’

Responding to this, Ms Abbington expressed that sharing her complaint against Giovanni Pernice’s behavior, as she did today, was not a simple or effortless choice.

Since reaching out to the BBC, I have been labeled as a liar, a disruptor, and described as mentally unwell or unbalanced.

In April, the BBC initiated an inquiry following a formal grievance submitted by Ms Abbington against Mr Pernice.

Three months later, she revealed to a tabloid that her stint on Strictly had led to post-traumatic stress disorder in her.

Regarding the conclusion of the review, Mr. Pernice shared with the Mail: “It’s a relief that the review has finished at last. I’m thankful that the claims suggesting I was aggressive or abusive were determined to be unfounded.

This year has been incredibly challenging for me, as I’ve found myself engrossed in one story after another without the ability to respond, choosing instead to uphold the respect due to the review process that the BBC requested from all participants.

‘I loved my time on Strictly and made some amazing memories. But now I am fully focused on Dancing With The Stars in Italy and supporting my dance partner Bianca.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has stood by me during these challenging times. Honestly, I wouldn’t have been able to persevere if not for the love, trust, and support from my family, friends, work associates, and followers.
