All One Last Drink crew locations in Avowed

As a gamer, I initially thought Avowed’s One Last Drink quest would be straightforward, given the marked locations of the crew members on my map. However, tracking down Ruanga, Tauwe, and Kowha proved to be more challenging than anticipated. They seemed to have disappeared off the grid!

Surprisingly, locating Ruanga proved more challenging than several treasure maps and totem fragments scattered across them. However, once you figure out its location and the means to reach it, reuniting Captain Ngunu’s team becomes less complicated. Rest assured, your efforts will be generously rewarded.

One Last Drink quest walkthrough

The primary goal of this mission, which proves to be quite challenging, is to gather Ruanga, Tauwe, and Kowha for a celebration toast. Upon starting the quest by speaking with Captain Ngunu in Thirdborn’s tavern, he will provide the last known locations of these three crew members. From there, you’re on your way. However, it’s not as straightforward as it sounds; locating them requires effort and determination.

Ruanga location

In other words, recruiting Ruanga might prove challenging, especially for those who overlooked the quest details that offer a clue. You can find him inside the Abandoned Mine, located to the north of Thirdborn. This mine is accessed through a modest cave opening to the west of the map marker. I must confess that I circumnavigated the entire perimeter of the mine before eventually stumbling upon its entrance.

1. From the Ancient Lakebed South Beacon, head up the path to the north
2. Almost immediately look to your right to see a fossil in the cliff, marking the tunnel entrance
3. Walk through the tunnel to enter the Abandoned Mine and kill the waves of enemies
4. Once clear, climb up the rocks to the right and break the wooden barricade to reveal a hidden tunnel
5. Climb up through the tunnel then turn left to find Ruanga in her cave camp

Ask Ruanga to carry out the next stage of the quest, even though nobody can truly persuade her to reconnect with her former captain, regardless of who initiates the conversation or who else is involved. It might be best this way, given their strained relationship in the past.

Tauwe location

Suitably, Tauwe – our laid-back crew member – is the most effortless to enlist. You’ll find him pitched at his camp adjacent to the Sand Sea Oasis, in a region of eastern Scatterscarp known as the Great Sand Sea. Conveniently, there’s also a rapid travel point nearby, so you won’t have to traverse too far.

Talk to Tauwe and he’ll promptly accept the plan to join forces with Ngunu in Thirdborn, reducing one more crew member left to enlist. However, before departing, don’t forget to swim at the Sand Sea Oasis to collect the Sapphire Eye for the Scatterscarp totem and also pick up the Tricker’s Gloves, a distinctive clothing item.

Kowha location

Kowha isn’t too difficult to locate, but it may involve getting a bit messy before he signs off on the plan. You can find Kowha surveying the Ruined Village to the north of Scatterscarp. To get there, you’ll need to navigate the narrow path north of Shark’s Teeth and then scale the cliffside ledge. Fortunately, you can easily reach this area using either Tago’s Tower Beacon or the nearby camp as a reference point.

Talk to him, and he’ll request that you cleanse the settlement, which unfortunately requires a significant amount of violence (remember to include the elevated section of the village located to the east in your efforts). After you’ve eliminated all the infected villagers, return to Kowha, and he’ll proceed towards Thirdborn to meet Nguna.

After completing the challenging part, Kowha, Tauwe, and Captain Nguna will move to Thirdborn’s bar on the upper floor. Upon entering the bar, you’ll find the bartender waiting to bring their drinks to you – these drinks are now added to your inventory, so there’s no need to worry about payment. So, make your way upstairs for a chat with the captain to wrap up the quest.

The finale won’t reveal everything upfront, instead it may make you reconsider meddling in others’ affairs. To soften the suspense, you’ll receive the Ring of Prosperity’s Fortune, which boosts your critical hit likelihood based on your wealth accumulation.
